Critique

MITTEL Despite heavy overnight rain the day remained fair although judging was within the tented accommodation as is now the norm for this show. May I take this opportunity to thank SKC for their invitation and the exhibitors for their support.

PD (3) 1 McLaren’s Ichmoran Yakecan. Cream at 9 months and of sound construction with ample boning to quarters. Well balanced with nicely proportioned head, expressive dark eye and dark pigmentation. Well positioned shoulders and upper arm of sufficient length to give correct front assembly. Good angulation and muscle tone to rear quarters with effortless brisk movement, a firm, level topline maintained throughout. BP and Res DCC. 2 Corkin’s Nixtev Kinetic Under Fouranfass. Black 9 months and slightly smaller build than 1. Presented in good coat with correct angulation and topline. Pleasing head and eye with nice earset. Not as positive in movement as 1.

JD (1) 1 Jacques Rosechow Enzo. Sable standing alone but slightly over the measure. Pleasing head and expression with good pigmentation. Neat, tight feet with proportionate boning to quarters. When settled movement was good with a true and brisk action.

PGD (2) 1 Mulholland & Looker’s Caoilta Nemesis. Cream dog of good size and overall shape. Slightly short in muzzle to complete the picture. Neat feet with sound movement. Shown in good coat. 2 Bunker’s Shelayne Celtic Ring At Todrun. Black somewhat oversize but having a good coat with pleasing head and expression. Movement OK.

LD (5) 1 Beard’s Wyndlee Chandera Spectre. Brown with good substance and overall balance. Well proportioned head with expressive dark eyes and good pigmentation. Moderately sloping shoulders with matching rear angulation. Well muscled with firm and level topline, good brisk action covering the ground in a true and effortless manner. Never stopped showing and deservedly took the Dog CC and BOB. 2 Connor’s Galvizach Xrated. Black showing well with good coat and expression. Balanced outline but gave way to 1 in shoulder placement and movement.

OD (5,1) 1 Beard’s Ch Wyndlee Ghost In My House. Cream of sound construction proportionately built with good head and overall balance. Carrying a good coat and showing with alert expression. 2 Connor’s Galvizach Limited Edition. Attractive chocolate sable and white showing well throughout. Slightly light in bone for me which reflected in his placing. Presented in good coat with sound and true movement.

PB (3) 1 Garbutt’s Nixtev Kameo. Cream 9 months with striking dark eye and pigment giving a lovely expression. Balanced outline with proportionate boning to quarters. Shown in good coat and moved out well. 2 Mason & Paterson’s Nixtev Kali. Black 9 months and litter sister to 1. Well made but not as balanced in head. Sound quarters but not as positive in movement. Shown in full coat with alert expression.

JB (3,1) 1 Beard’s Silmah Penny Layne In Wyndlee. Black and full of character. Nicely balanced with square outline. Sound quarters moving out well with brisk and true action. Super expression and never stopped showing throughout. Res BCC. 2 Mulholland’s Wyndlee Iced Cream Mit Zephon. Cream – unfortunately the wardrobe department had not dressed this young lady in her best but a well made bitch with good substance although not as balanced in head as 1.

PGB (1) 1 Heslop’s Runfold Joo Joo Bee Doo. Black bitch of ample proportions. 12 months on the day and up to the measure. Would have preferred a little more angulation to quarters which was reflected in movement.

LB (1) 1 Beard’s Danacks Winnie The Witch. Chocolate with good head and expression. Nice square outline with level topline. Well placed quarters but a little unsettled on the move.

OB (4) 1 Butler’s Phixons Mizz Kizzi. Lovely balanced black bitch showing well with alert expression. Well put together with ample boning and correct shoulder placement. In firm condition with substance and level topline. Moved out with true brisk action. Bitch CC. 2 Rogerson & Dore’s Ch Kateandy Black Magic At Nosregor. Black with good width to skull but proportionately not as balanced as 1. Sound construction with sufficient substance and good topline. Moved out well.
