Critique

A much more consistent entry than the last time I judged, much more uniformity & breed type

PD (4,1a) 1 Hunter’s Rossfort Walk The Line, cream youngster of quality, liked his head & general outlook, good body developing for age, scores in bone & feet, moved out smartly both ways, more settled than the others in this class; 2 Beard’s Wyndlee Buffalo Soldier, parti, very raw but has a lot of promise. Good head & pigment, nice neck & shoulder, good body properties, sound mover both ways; 3 Hookway & Bentley’s Beaulion Are We Bovvered. JD (4,1) 1 Mulholland’s Zephon Nebula Rubiestar, black of quality, liked his expression & use of ears, good neck & shoulders, enough bone, scored in front action over 2. Very promising; 2 Mulholland & Aikman’s Zephon Rubyjet Obsidian, nice black of similar type, needs to strength in pastern but has time. Very smart mover particularly in profile; 3 Bray’s Abbicher Oh Boy. PGD (8) 1 Hill’s Wyndlee Yin of Sobriety, very smart parti, loved his head, eye & expression, uses ears well, excellent front assembly, good angulation, bone & feet, body firm & good topline & tailset, moved out well. RCC & close up for CC; 2 Corkin’s Nixtev Kinetic Under Fouranfass, scores for size & quality. Not quite so good in shoulder as 1 but well made. Strong quarters & fluid action on the move; 3 Day’s Danack’s Bill Bailey. LD (5) 1 Purves’ Bulabs Polarbear, cream dog, lovely head & excellent pigment, good ears used to advantage, very good front, bone & feet, strong well made body used well on the move. A little short of coat which cost him for a major placing; 2 Powell’s Desaria Aurelius at Brookwell, black, lovely head & expression. Would prefer shade darker eye. Good body, nice angles both ends, steady on the move; 3 Calvert & King’s Red Alert. OD (7) 1 Beard’s Ch Wyndlee Chandera Spectre, orange, very masculine, good outlook, liked his head & pigment, scored in bone & feet, good shoulders & neck, firm topline & tailset is bang on, strong quarters, very positive action. CC & BOB: 2 Hewett’s Ch Spellcast Talk To Me, black of quality, scored in head & expression, lovely neck, shoulders & feet, firm body, good ribbing & loin, strong quarters, moved out well; 3 Powell’s Desaria Flash Gordon at Brookwell.

PB (6,3) 1 Hunter’s Rossfort Wendika, very glamorous baby with a bright future, loved her head & expression, scores in neck & shoulder, just right for size & body at this age. BP; 2 Cleworth’s Kasshyk Midnight Flyer, parti, not so forward in development as 1. Good head, eye & mouth, enough bone & good feet, steady on the move when she settled; 3 Hookway & Bentley’s Beaulion Amethyst. JB (6) 1 Garbutt’s Nixtev Lexis, very stylish bitch of real quality, lovely head & eye, excellent shoulder, bone & feet, good body well put together, firm topline & correct tailset, strong quarters used to advantage. The more I looked the more I liked & I was pleased to award her her first CC; 2 R Wendika; 3 Moir’s Nixtev Liberty at Jansanleis. PGB (2) 1 Bray’s Abbicher Lily Langtree, better for size than 1. Good head, eye & pigment, scored for overall balance in body, topline & tail OK, very steady on the move; 2 Mason & Paterson’s Nixtev Kali, would prefer a little more of her overall. Nice head & eye, balanced, good action. LB (8,1) 1 Thurston’s Rossfort Xanadu from Liubice, cream of quality, scored in head properties & pigmentation, liked her front angulation & neck properties, good balance to body, firm topline & coat quality, sound on the move; 2 Heslop’s Runfold Joo Joo Bee Doo, black, not in best of coats & couldn’t match the winner in hind action. Nice head & front, firm body & good coat texture; 3 Beech’s Galvizach Limited Look In Sandkarah. OB (5,1) 1 Smith’s Ch Desaria Destiny, brown of quality, lovely head & eye, good mouth, neck & shoulders good, body firm & sound, moves very well & presents pleasing outline. To be hypercritical would like a little more of her. RCC; 2 Chambers’ Ch Nosregor Bewitched for Musique, quality bitch, a close decision between the two. Not quite the drive behind of 1; 3 Hookway & Bentley’s Wyndlee Finlandia at Beaulion.
