Critique

PD (3) 1 Clayton’s Studholme White Diamond, nice dog of moderate build & type, pleasing head & expression, good shortish neck. A touch narrow through as yet but should widen with time. Smart mover, well set tail. BP; 2 Hookway & Bentley’s Bealion Are We Bovvered, big boy, rather over-wide in front & temperament needs to be watched. As a companion breed they should never growl. I gave him the benefit of the doubt as he is a puppy & maybe not used to showing as yet. Excellent coat & proportions. JD (4) Two very close up together, of similar outline & size. Just preferred the winner’s strength of muzzle & broader underjaw. 1 Mulholland’s Zephon Nebula Rubiestar, quite true coming & going. Coat rather soft although plenty of it. Nice proportions & lovely to go over; 2 Mulholland & Aikman’s Zephon Rubyjet Obsidian, better coat & all is nicely square & ‘Spitzy’. Good erect ears, great personality, well set tail & a sharp brisk profile mover. Up & down is not so good; 3 Samuels’ Spellcast Urban Legend with Runestone. PGD (7) 1 Hookway & Bentley’s Desaria Luke Mit Beaulion, outstanding boy, beautiful wedge shaped head tapering to strong muzzle, super front, upper arm, slope & forechest, high withers, short firm back, super legs & feet, powerful rear, moderately angled & brisk stride, in excellent coat & condition, shows & moves with great aplomb. CC & BOB: 2 Mulholland & Looker’s Caoilta Nemesis, nothing much wrong with this boy either. A mite longer in hock but otherwise of good proportions. Pleasing head & pigment, neat erect ears, super coat & tail carried well over back; 3 Rogerson’s Nosregor Kateandy Moogi-Dhoo. LD (5) 1 Winser’s Pennypot Enigma of Lysebourne, nice squarely proportioned dog, Spitz head & ears. Too straight in shoulder & front legs set forward of withers. Excellent body, neat precise mover & in lovely coat, shows so well, impressive mover; 2 Calvert & King’s Red Alert, ears set too far apart & hind angulation overdone for the breed. Nice dog, attentive & lovely expression, true mover; 3 Powell’s Desaria Flash Gordon at Brookwell. OD (5) 1 Chambers & Rogerson’s Ch Druitz Corncracker for Teamspitz, Lovely to go over & nicely fit too, super head, eyes & erect neat ears, enough neck, good legs & feet, soundly constructed in body & rear. Has a tendency to move close behind but good front & profile movement. In pleasing coat. RCC; 2 Powell’s Ch Desaria Disraeli at Brookwell, nice profile gait. Not quite the head of winner & he was going very close going away. In full coat of lovely colour, excellent tail, pleasing shape & proportions, deep enough & well ribbed back; Hewett’s Ch Spellcast Talk To Me.

PB (4) First two most promising. 1 Clayton’s Studholme Diamond Fire, bouncy mover & full of life, nice proportions, well knit & firm condition for a puppy, good head, ears set well up & not too large. Good shape & size, seemed sound enough when she was behaving; 2 Rolleston’s Beaulion Amethyst, excellent pigment & melting eyes of oval shape & medium size, enough stop, neat ears, OK in front & body for age, well set on tail. Not going quite as well behind as 1 but has time to improve. A nice quality puppy; 3 Cleworth’s Kasshyk Midnight Flyer. JB (0). PGB (2) 1 Rolleston’s Runfold Jay-Jay at Kelham, a little on the long side perhaps but she had the best body & depth of brisket. Neat mover, pleasing head, shortish neck, good tight round feet & in lovely coat; 2 Williams’ Druitz Melisande, bang out of coat & a rather shallow chest, dropped her back. I liked her proportions & overall outline, Spitzy head & a sharp mover in profile. LB (4) 1 Pooley’s Wyndlee Fallen Angel from Azkaban, nice quality bitch, good size & proportions under the heavy coat, pleasing head & expressive eyes, neat ears, level back, deep enough, good legs & tidy feet, well set tail, moved truly all round. RCC; 2 Williams’ Daraydala Coco Chanel at Druit, neat & a trifle on the small side. Out of coat & moving a wee bit close going away. Her head, outline & proportions just right, perfectly correct side action of moderate brisk strides; 3 Clayton’s Desaria Annissa at Studholme. OB (2) 1 Chambers’ Ch Nosregor Bewitched for Musique, lovely bitch, super head & shape to skull, neat erect ears, true front & good forechest, sound legs & feet well up, square proportions, high set tail, moderate rear angles, moved well in profile & front. A wee bit close going away. Super body & short firm loin, shows well & in good coat. CC; 2 Williams’ Daraydala One For The Boys at Druitz, good moving girl, I thought her stop rather over deep & skull a bit too rounded. OK in front, excellent body. Pasterns a little slack. Well set on tail & powerful quarters, moved OK & especially well going away.
