Critique
GERMAN SPITZ
MITTEL What my entry lacked in quantity was not reflected in the quality. I had some very nice Spitz present. Movement continues to be something of a problem, some took very short strides, which is incorrect. I was very pleased with all my top winners.
JD 1 Alfred’s Luibice Just William. White of upper middle size and strength, excellent type with a good head and oval shaped dark eyes, well set small ears, good neck, forehand, bone, legs and feet, very good proportions, balanced hindquarters and good tail set, just coming into full coat, a smart mover, good coming and going.
PGD 1 Luibice Just William. 2 Mulholland’s Zephon Nebula Rubiestar. Black, medium sized, very nice head and expression, good eye and small ears, balanced construction with moderate angles fore and aft, shown in very good condition and in good coat, could to advantage carry less weight.
LD 1 Rogerson’s Nosregor Kateandy Mooghi Dhoo. Brown, strong, upper middle size, very good type and lots to like about him, correct masculine head set into a nicely arched neck, very good forehand, bone, legs and feet, very good proportions and strong thighs with well let down hocks, in immaculate coat and condition, moved well and true coming and going, should win a title. 2 Purves’ Bulabs Polarbear. Cream, middle sized, firm hard dog with good muscletone, very good head and of correct type, clean bone with good tight feet, balanced proportions with good fore and hindquarters, moved with a good stride and quite sound, very good pigment, unfortunately not the coat condition of the winner but nevertheless two very nice dogs.
O 1 Chambers’ Ch Druitz Corncracker For Teamspitz. Cream, when younger this dog was somewhat loose in ligaments, however he has now firmed up into quite an impressive adult of high quality and perfect size, lovely head and eye, small ears, very good bone, legs and feet, muscular hindquarters with well let down hocks, moved with excellent stride around the ring, on the debit side, he toes in very slightly with left hind going, clean coming, pigment needs watching. CC and BOB. 2 O’Loughlin’s Ch Luibice Crazy Diamond For Caoilta. Sparkling white, put down in absolutely immaculate condition, beautiful coat and furnishings, medium size with good head, ears type and balanced proportions, very good hindquarters, slightly short in upper arm, which is reflected in his forereach, nevertheless a top class dog who is very young as yet, he is a dog to be proud of.
PB 1 Purves’ Bulabs Endora. 6 months Cream and very much a baby, as is to be expected, pretty head of correct type, good bone, legs and feet, good mouth, excellent pigment, moved bravely around the ring, quite sound, good stride for one so young. 2 Mason’s Nixtev Nuska. 10 months Cream, another pretty girl who needs to slim! Good type with a nice feminine head, nice ears, good outline, bone, legs and feet, moved away a touch wide, fair side gait.
PGB 1 Moir’s Nixtev Liberty At Jansanleis. 2 years cream, very feminine and pretty, lovely head, ears, eye and nice dark pigment, good fore and hind angles, enough bone, coat looked about to blow (though probably sufficient). Shown in very good clean condition, moved quite soundly and very well. 2 Clayton’s Studholme Diamond Fire. 2 years black, well shaped bitch of excellent type, good head, nice dark eye and good ears, well carried, good quarters, moved well enough and sound coming and going, not in good coat and could be better muscled.
LB 1 Garbutt’s Nixtev Lexis. Litter sister to previous class winner and of same quality and type, very good pigment, fairly good head with nice dark eyes, correct in fore and hind angles, very good bone, legs and feet, movement very good. 2 Clayton’s Studholme Three Kisses. White in nice condition, though perhaps could do with more coat, well shaped with attractive head, correct eye and well placed ears, good bone and angulation, presents a nice outline with good proportions, quite sound and moved around the ring ok but did not have the stride of the winner.
OB 1 O’Loughlin’s Ch Caoilta Virago. White. Yet another presented by this owner in sparkling condition, lovely coat, well muscled with lovely head, dark eyes, good forehand and correctly angulated hindquarters, good outline, backline and tailset, moved very well. CC. 2 Chambers’ Ch Nosregor Bewitched For Musique. Another in excellent coat and condition, feminine head, well placed ears, good bone and feet, for me a touch low on the foreleg, otherwise top class, moved very well around the ring, good coming, a little close going away. Res CC.
