Critique

Many thanks to the committee for the invitation and to the exhibitors for their entries.
We were lucky in that the weather held off for us but the ground conditions weren't very good and the Kleins in particular would have benefited from the grass being shorter.
Temperaments were all OK and all dogs went under the measure. However movement in many cases left something to be desired, with either flapping front legs or very untidy hind action giving cause for concern, and I was also surprised by the number of Kleins with mouth faults so I had some difficult decisions to make at times.

1st Clayton's Studholme Dolly Mixture
14 month old black and white bitch. Lacking coat, as were many today, so looking a touch long, but texture was correct. Good head and expression with correct dark eyes and well placed ears. Good neck, firm body but tailset a bit low. Good site gait but could be tidier moving away.

1st & RBOB Connor's Galvizach The Choir Girl
2 year old cream sable bitch in good coat. Nice dark eyes of correct shape, ears a touch tall but placement OK. Correct neck but body proportions could be slightly shorter to improve on outline. Moved well.

1st & BOB Connor's Galvizach Xrated
3 year old black dog with a good head and expression. Of good size and proportions and presenting a typical outline. On the move, his side gait was OK but hind action could be tidier going away.
For BOB, I prefered the movement of the PG winner but the the more typical head, outline and proportions of the Open winner gave him the edge.
