German Spitz Mittel
PD (3) 1
O’Loughlin’s Caoilta Wicca, excellent conformation, short coupled, sturdy body,
very good head, excellent gait. Needs to grow on more to balance. Very
promising, incredibly dense & thick puppy profuse coat; 2 Beard’s Flamuna
Franz Ferdinand, 9 month black, typical & desired balance & outline,
excellent coat & tail. Far too thin right now, a shame; 3 Hill’s Wyndlee
Sweet Talking Guy of Sobriety. JD (2) 1 Pooley’s Wyndlee Short ‘N
Sweet at Azkaban, has preferred construction, correct sized youngster, good
head, good substance, well ribbed back, short loin. Tends to stand too stretched
out making him appear long in body & he isn’t. Excellent coat texture, very
good side gait; 2 Hughes & Forrester’s Druitz Chestnut Charlie at Candease,
attractive red. Preferred conformation of class winner. Broad masculine head,
correct pigment for coat colour. Ears a tad wide set, not as compact in body as
class winner. Excellent tailset & coat texture, moves with very good
fluency. PGD (5) 1 Smith’s Wyndlee Ghostly
Magic, lovely outline, very good conformation, has the desired substance, bone,
tiny tight cat-like feet so often missing in this breed. Fairly typical head.
Eyes a bit round. Very good coat texture, very good topline & tail, best
mover in the class; 2 Clayton’s Rossfort Gerhardt, just out of Junior, needs to
body up & come together. Typical head & expression, small ears that
needs a bit higher set. In between coats right now. Very good tail set. Just
needs time; 3 Beard’s Wyndlee Desperado Between Zephon. LD (5) 1 Mulholland’s Zephon Spookz
the Tempest, gold dog, attractive Spitzy head, one of few so far today with what
I would call a correct Spitz head. Nose pigment could be darker. Very good
conformation, substance, excellent tailset, coat texture & very sound
movement, quality dog. Pressed hard for top awards; 2 Hewett’s Spellcast Secrets
And Lies, very neat ears well set, just the size & set on I was looking for.
Very good conformation. A shade longer in body than I prefer. Excellent coat,
tail set & rear & side gait; 3 Purves’ Bulabs Polarbear. OD (3) 1 McCulloch’s Ch/Ir Ch Wyndlee
Chandera Spectre, mature red, much substance & body, wouldn’t want him any
bigger. Typical outline, head & expression, lovely small ears well used,
good coat texture, tail correct set on, gives very good account on the move,
true parallel action front & back, excellent example of the breed. CC; 2
Chambers’ Ch Druitz Corncracker for Teamspitz, 6 years, attractive cream of
smaller mould but still very correct. Very good head & expression, excellent
small ears so well set & used to advantage, good neck, very good forehand,
very good body, excellent tail, lovely coat to complete the package. RCC won on
movement; 3 Hunter’s Rossfort Eldorado. VD (0).
PB (5) Excellent
class. 1 Hunter’s Rossfort Elbe, 8 month black with the total package. The first
absolutely correct Spitz head with oval eyes, slightly oblique set, small ears
high set, good fill under the eyes, balanced length to muzzle & skull. In
going over her she fulfils the standard in conformation & movement. Right
now lacks confidence so couldn’t advance any further today but once that hurdle
is crossed she will be a star. I love her; 2 Thurston’s Caoilta Iceni, litter
sister to PD class winner, beautiful head & lovely to go over. Is better
than her brother on leg length so quite well balanced. Moves well, very good
body shape. Two excellent examples of the breed; 3 Rolleston’s Kelham Pillow
Talk. JB (4) Heslop’s Flamuna Fratelli, 12
months today so still considered a puppy. Red, very nice to go over, broad
skull, good coat but texture could be harsher. Very good body development,
excellent tail, strong rear quarters & excellent rear gait. In challenge for
BPB the younger bitch would not use her tail. BPB, BP; 2 Cleworth’s Studholme
Queen To Be, in the throes of the junior stage, needs to steady in front, just
needs time to develop & grow her coat back in; 3 Andrew’s Runfold Marsh
Mallo. PGB (2) Not a strong class. 1 Clayton’s
Studholme Dolly Mixture, b/w whose main problem is she is too long in body thus
spoiling the outline & balance. Attractive head, ears well placed but tall,
good skull shape, very good neckline, level topline, good coat texture; 2
Orchard’s Spilmah Affair To Say, sable, right out of coat, did not move as well
as class winner. Attractive feminine head, dark eyes. Ears slightly wide
set. LB (4) 1 Moir & Moir’s Nixtev
Liberty at Jansanleis, light cream, excellent head & expression, excellent
conformation, very short coupled, lovely coat, excellent tail set & correct
movement in all directions. CC, her third, & BOB; 2 Purves’ Rossfort
Griselda, excellent bitch, very good head. Just needs a bit more time to develop
in body before she is ready for top awards. Close up in quality to 1; 3
Garbutt’s Nixtev Lexis. OB (4,1) 1 Powell’s Desaria Fanny-ann at
Brookwell, 6 years blue, excellent conformation. Smaller than many but within
the Standard. Correct pigment & eye colour for coat colour. I was struck by
the excellent muscle tone on this bitch. Excellent spring of rib, very strong
short loin, very good coat & tailset, alert, active bitch with excellent
tiny ears & very good movement. RCC; 2 Chambers’ Ch Nosregor Bewitched for
Musique, choc, alert & active, correct eye & pigmentation to go with
coat colour, sturdy body. Not the forehand of class winner. Excellent tailset,
very good front & side gait. Coat is a shade soft; 3 Conway’s Druitz Dorn
Dolly at Spawood. VB (1) 1 Clayton’s Studholme Kiss An
Tell, 7½ years cream, attractive head & expression, small well set ears,
very good bone & body. Front pastern needs strengthening. Very good body,
compact strong loin, excellent tailset.
