German Spitz Mittel
VD (2) 1 Clayton’s Studholme Frizzco Kid, very precise moving dog, immaculate condition & muscletone, correct proportions of muzzle length to backskull & neat erect ears. Good length of forelegs, tight small feet, well bodied. Picks his hind legs up a fraction too much on the move otherwise a lovely dog. PD (3) 1 Williams’ Druitz The Student Prince, very straight in stifles & hocks. Good head & pigment, promising body & nicely set on tail, fair mover. BP; 2 Jones’ Flamuna Revelations at Runestone, straight in hind legs & turns his feet out in front. In good body & coat, well handled. Not moving well; 3 Hornby-Smith & Smith’s Druitz The Gingerbread Man of Spitzbury. JD (1) 1 D The Gingerbread Man of Spitzbury, I liked this one a lot & he had a better rear than the other two. Lovely head & expression. Needs grooming & when in coat & trained properly he should do well. PGD (2) Two good dogs. 1 Pooley’s Wyndlee Short ‘N’ Sweet at Azkaban, better in shoulders & forechest, legs well under him, ideal bone & feet for the breed. Super to go over, lovely head, eyes & expression, in great coat & body, well carried tail & a precise & accurate mover. CC & BOB; 2 Andrew’s Claran Narada, harsh coat which I much admired as correct coats are hard to achieve. Beautiful head & eye placement. Rather flat chested & legs set too fat forward. Excellent body & quarters, outmoved the Limit winner to gain the RCC. LD (3) 1 Winser’s Nixtev Notorious of Lysebourne, pleasing head & dark eyes, so well conditioned & presented, bone OK. Feet could be a little thicker. Nicely ribbed & correct length of forelegs, neat tail curled well over, sound impressive mover, brisk & sharp. Disappointed in the challenge; 2 Smith’s Sandkarahsmister Mischief, slightly lighter in eye so expression a little ‘fierce’ looking. OK in front, body & bone for size. Needs better quarters, moves very close going away & stands close behind. OD (4) All four lovely dogs. 1 Rogerson’s Ch Nosregor Kateandy Moogi-dhoo, good to go over, OK coat & body, moderately angulated, good in bone & tight small feet. Moves too close in front otherwise moving well in rear & sharp & precise in profile; 2 Hewett’s Ch Spellcast Talk To Me, compact, short coupled & very ‘spitzy’. Going very close going away. In good harsh coat, neatly made & excellent in profile; 3 Williams’ Druitz Black Prince.
VB (2) Both oldies full of themselves & enjoying their day. 1 Clayton’s Studholme Kiss An Tell, neat, smaller type but still within the Standard. Nice & precise moving, sweet head, still has such lovely feet. A real credit to their owners, both of them; 2 Pooley’s Wyndlee Fallen Angel from Azkaban, naughty & side-winded when she wasn’t lifting her legs too high. Nice for conformation, compact body & well set tail. PB (1)A. JB (0). PGB (1) 1 Clayton’s Studholme Kiss Of Fire, lovely to go over & delightful temperament, super head, really wedge shaped & very erect in ears, OK in front. Feet a bit on the thin side. Excellent body & rear, really packed with muscle which I admired, good tail. A little out of coat but has enough to feel the texture. Erratic moving. LB (2) 1 Orr’s Rossfort Andante with Sobriety, good quality, well knit frame, nicely angulated without being overdone, pleasing head, lovely expression, fairly flat skull, ears set well up, sound mover, brisk & agile looking in profile. Maybe a mite long cast perhaps. RCC; 2 Clayton’s Studholme Diamond Fire, a little more compact but not moving as smoothly & was picking up her rear rather high on the go. Good inquisitive expression, nicely ribbed & good level back, in excellent condition & muscletone. OB (3) 1 Orr’s Ch Pufnstuf Put A Spell On You at Sobriety, lovely to go over, good front & forechest, correct head & muzzle, well boned legs & tight feet, lovely body & enough rear angulation. Well set on tail & in good coat, neat brisk mover with a particularly good front & side gait. CC; 2 Conner & Jones’ Galvizach The Choirgirl, very smart & shows beautifully, lovely body, colour, coat & overall proportions. I thought she needed more bone & better feet. Moved nicely though.
