Critique

German Spitz Mittel

V (1) A. PD (4) 1 Chambers’ Musique Worth The Wait, masculine choc, very mature for age, presents a good outline & is well balanced fore & aft, typical head, correct bite, necks fits well onto shoulders, firm topline & high tailset, neat ears, in full coat, well boned, moved & showed well to take BP; 2 Hewitt’s Spellcast Shout About It, black, very promising, liked his head & expression, correct bite, well made front assembly, moderate hind angulation, hocks moderately well let down, firm topline, lovely outline, excellent condition. Not as forward as 1 but showed & moved well. Am sure these two will switch places on different days; 3 Green’s Runfold Night Navigator. JD(2) 1 R Night Navigator, cr/s, nice boy in good body condition, well boned, sweet expression, defined stop, dark oval eye, neat small ears, holds a steady topline, balanced fore & aft, high set tail. Can move well when he tries but persisted in crabbing which cost him in the last class. PGD (4) 1 Williams’ Druitz The Student Prince, very nice young black in excellent body condition, appealed in head with dark oval obliquely set eyes, neck set well into shoulders, well made in front, firm topline & balanced quarters, high set tail. At the in between coat stage. Moved & showed really well; 2 Depper’s Abbicher Black Diamond, black, finer all through than 1 & not in his best coat, nice type & good for size, decent head with dark oval eye & neat ears, firm topline, high set tail. Didn’t really want to show off his best virtues here & was rather sluggish on the move; 3 R Night Navigator. LD (6) 1 Andrews’ Claran Narada, masculine black in fabulous body & coat condition, loved his overall make & shape & is so good to go over, appealed in head, dark oval eye, neck set well into sloping shoulders, correct front assembly, firm topline, balanced quarters, up on his toes, moves so well in profile, just needs to settle in rear movement, am sure will gain his title; 2 Chambers & Highmoor’s Druitz Hufen Ia, cream, finer all through than 1 & not as masculine but a very well made boy, good head & eye, neat small ears, neck set well into shoulder, straight front, small round feet, excellent quarters, high set tail, moves & shows really well & will look even better as he matures; 3 Pooley’s Wyndlee Short N Sweet. OD(3) 1 Hewett’s Ch Spellcast Talk To Me, black, fully mature in excellent body & coat condition, really appreciated his head & expression, lovely dark oval obliquely set eyes, neat small ears, lovely neckline set cleanly on moderately sloping shoulders, well boned forelegs, well ribbed, firm topline, balanced quarters, correct tailset, small round feet, moved with effortless action & looked even better in the group with his change of handler. CC & BOB; 2 Williams’ Druitz Black Prince, black & very nice too, slightly different style to 1 but scored in excellent movement, nice head with dark oval eye, correct bite, neck sits cleanly on shoulders, well ribbed, firm topline, well boned forelegs, small round feet, moderate hind angulation, high set tail in lovely coat & body condition, not surprised to learn he is now titled. RCC; 3 Andrews’ Claran Shades of Fontleroy. GC (1) 1 Drechsler’s Wyndlee Blowin In The Wind at Jeansway, black presents a nice outline, decent head with dark eye, in excellent coat & condition, well ribbed, firm topline, balanced fore & aft. Can improve in hind movement & wasn’t putting much enthusiasm into his performance.

PB (4) 1 King’s Spellcast Talk To Da Tail, cream, pretty feminine puppy with lots of promise, liked her overall make & shape & presented a nice outline, decent head with dark eye & good pigment, nice for size, well bodied for age, good bone, firm topline, balanced fore & aft, correct tailset, well presented, showed & moved well; 2 Williams’ Hocombewood Black Beauty at Druitz, black & very promising too, was little to separate these two, appealed in head & expression, neck set well onto sloping shoulder, straight well boned forelegs, well ribbed, balanced quarters, in excellent coat & condition, moved & showed well; 3 Williams’ Hocombewood Party Popper at Druitz. JB (3) 1 Pooley’s Spellcast Talking Secrets with Azkaban, black, quality bitch with really nice head & expression, dark eye, nice neckline, well ribbed, well balanced fore & aft, high set tail, in lovely coat & body condition, can firm up in topline, moved & showed well. PGB (2) 1 Hall’s Flamuna Conversation Diva at Pufnstuf, wasn’t over happy on the table but showed well enough when she moved, liked her outline, decent head & expression, well bodied with good bone, well ribbed, firm topline, can improve moving towards, in good coat well presented. LB (3) 1 Orr’s Rossfort Andante with Sobriety, really liked this pretty feminine cream, lovely head & expression, dark eye with good pigment, neat small ears, neck set cleanly in well made front assembly, well bodied with short loin, well balanced quarters, correct tailset & carriage, moved really well from all angles, well presented coat, close contender for top honours & am sure she will carry her title. OB (3) 1 Chambers’ Ch Nosregor Bewitched for Musique, choc, lovely bitch with all the essentials, pretty feminine head with lively expression, neat small ears which she uses really well, on her toes at all times, is the ultimate showgirl, short & compact with well made front assembly & balanced quarters, super outline, excellent mover from all angles. Lacking a bit of coat but couldn’t be denied the top spot on her quality. CC; 2 Thurston’s Caoilta Iceni for Liubice, really nice cream in full coat, loved her outline in stance, feminine head well proportioned, dark eye, well balanced fore & aft, well ribbed, firm topline, short loin, nice for size, does move really well from all angles but felt was carrying a tad too much weight today which made her a bit sluggish, am sure she will gain her title as she has the quality to do so; 3 Orr’s Ch Pufnstuf Put A Spell On You at Sobriety.
