German Spitz Mittel
A slightly disappointing entry for my first appointment at this level, however I had some nice dogs to go over.
MPD (1) 1 Chambers’ Musique Worth The Wait, 7 months brown dog, reasonable head. Muzzle & skull a little narrow. Neat ears, correct mouth, good shoulder placement, plenty of bone. Slightly long cast. Coat in excellent condition & a lovely colour, good mover.
PD (1) 1 Smith’s Spellcast Jive Talking, 11 months black, lovely typy head with neat ears, dark eyes, good mouth, correct front. Very slightly long. Correct tailset. Coat a little soft at the moment, crabbed a little on the move. BP. JD (0).
PGD (5) 1 Jones’ Flamuna Revelations at Runestone, beautiful typy sable, in excellent coat, correct head with dark eyes, neat ears, good mouth, plenty of bone, just enough neck, short coupled giving a good outline, high set tail. A little flat footed. Very good mover. Pushed hard for RCC; 2 Drechsler’s Wyndlee Blowin In The Wind at Jeansway, black, slightly plain in head but neat ears & correct mouth. Good length of neck & shoulders, plenty of bone. A little flat footed. Excellent coat, correct tailset, fair mover; 3 Williams’ Druitz The Student Prince.
LD (2) Two totally different types. 1 Pooley’s Wyndlee Short And Sweet with Azkaban, smaller black, head OK, good mouth, neat ears, correct outline, enough bone, good tailset, good mover; 2 Andrew’s Runfold Crafty Kid, sable of a totally different type to 1. A little oversize, but I love his head. Correct outline, good bone, in good condition. A bit unsettled, so movement was a bit erratic.
OD (2) 1 Hewett’s Ch Spellcast Talk To Me, black I have judged before & still like him. Excellent shape, beautiful head with dark eyes & a good mouth, beautifully presented, good mover. Mind not quite on the job which cost him. CC; 2 Williams’ Druitz Black Prince, black but smaller type. Similar comments to 1 apply, but crabbed slightly on the move. RCC.
MPB (1) A.
PB (1) 1 Pooley’s Spellcast Talking Secrets with Azkaban, almost 12 months black, totally out of coat. Nice head but maybe a little strong for a bitch. Correct ears, dark eyes, plenty of bone. Lack of coat makes her look a bit long, but she’s not. Moved OK.
JB (1) 1 Moir’s Jansanleis Mayhem, 13 months cream, sadly out of coat. Very good outline, pretty head, good mouth, dark eyes, correct shape, good tailset. Positive mover but a bit wide coming & slightly close behind.
PGB (0).
LB (4) 1 J Mayhem; 2 Orr’s Rossfort Andante with Sobriety, nice cream bitch who was not looking her best. Good outline, but slightly bum high. Pretty head, ears OK, dark eyes, good mouth, fair mover; 3 Williams’ Druitz Follow That Dream.
OB (5) 1 Chambers’ Nosregor Bewitched for Musique, beautiful brown in excellent coat, lovely head, dark eyes, neat ears, plenty of bone. Profuse ruff can make her look a little stuffy in neck, but she isn’t. Very good mover, put everything in to take CC & BOB; 2 Rolleston’s Kelham Pillow Talk, bigger cream bitch, nice head. Ears could be smaller. Dark eyes, correct front. A shade long cast. Excellent full harsh coat, good mover. RCC; 3 Williams’ Druitz Melisande.
