Critique

It was a pleasure to handle so many Mittels with such great temperaments. All went under the measures with bitches being noticebly smaller than the dogs in many cases. Front assembly and movement could still be better and hind movement was weak on some exhibits especially those with long rear pasterns. I was very surprised to fine several not displaying the correct scissor bite. I know this has been a problem in Kleins for a long time but I have never found it such a pronounced problem in Mittels, it is certainly something that should be watched for before it becomes a big concern. I was however, very pleased with my major winners with Best Mittle Puppy going BPIS and Best Mittle Veteran going BVIS. VD. (2). 1. Hewett's, Ch. Spellcast Talk to Me JW. Black in good coat and condition. Nice head pattern with goodear carriage. Balanced throughout with good front and hind assembly. Moved with drive. 2. Thomas's, Desaria Darby for Daraydala. Not in full coat and slightly longer in back than the winner. Well laid shoulders with level topline and good tail set. Neat feet. MPD. (2). 1. Williams's, Grizwold Lohengrin at Druitz. Cream. Lovely head and expression. Good pigment with dark well placed eye. Good fornt and bone, nice legs and feet. Would prefer a slightly better hind movement but only a puppy and could settle with age. BPD, BPIB and BPIS. 2. King's, Grizwold Loki. Litter brother to the winner. Another nice puppy just preferred the head pattern of the winner. Balanced throughout with level topline on the move. PD. (3). 1. King's, Grizwold Loki. 2. Orr's, Sobriety Jack Daniels. Smart cream dog. Good fornt and bone with neat cat feet. Nice body with good spring of rib. Correct head but would have preferred slightly smaller ears. Toed in slightly at the rear on the move. Correct harsh coat. 3. Orr's, Sobriety Born to be Wild. JD. (4,2). 1. Beard's, Wyndlee Jester. RDCC. Brown youngster ozzing quality. Square in outline in excellent coat and condition. Good head pattern with correct Spitzy expression. Good body with moderate tuck up at loin. Balanced throughout which was reflected in his excellent movement. One to watch for the future. 2. Saich and Saich's, Zephon Akio at Lindcoly. Wolf sable. Nice type. Dark eye with well placed neat ears. Coat of correct texture. Light in body at present and mouth could be better. Moved easily around the ring. PGD. (5). 1. Wilson's, Nickila Silver Sovereign. Mature dog. Good coat and condition. Lovely head and expression. Dark well placed eye and neat ears. Good fill under the muzzle. Little close in front, but good body with well laid shoulders. Correct hind angulation. 2. Saich's, Hocombewood Hot Toddy for Lindcoly. Not a large dog but well put together with correct square outline. Good bone and correct lay of shoulder. Good head but would prefer a tidier mouth. 3. Mulholland's, Zephon the Last Samurai. LD. (5). 1. Hewett's, Spellcast Shout About It. Black not in full coat but nothing to hide. Lovely head pattern. Balanced throughout with good front and well laid shoulders. Level topline retained on the move. Well set tail. Drove well from the rear when on the going away. 2. Johanneson and Johanneson's, Rossfort Elch. Cream also not in full coat. Well put together with nice head and expression. Good overall construction. Easy mover. 3. Jones's, Flamuna Revelation at Runestone. OD. (8,1). 1. Smith's, Spellcast Jive Talking. DCC and BOB. A good class with many quality dogs. Black, excels in outline. Balanced throughout with lovely head and expression. Well filled under dark well placed eyes. Good ear placement. Correct construction although could have slightly more hind angulation. Good well muscled body. Excellent on the move exhibiting the correct economy of action required by this breed. 2. Alfred's, Liubice Just William. White in full coat of correct harsh texture and hard condition. Excellent pigment. Good body with neat feet. 3. Chamber's, Ch. Musique Worth the Wait. VB. (1). 1. King's, Grizwold Inabikari. Well put together with good front and hind angulation. Good head and expression with well placed eye and ear. Moved very well round the ring. PB. (2). 1. Thomas's, Lysebourne Aasha. BPB. Immature cream not in full coat. Nice in outline. Sweet head and expression, dark well placed eye. Level topline retained on the move. Would prefer slightly more bone to complete the picture. 2. Winser's, Lysebourne Aaliyah. More solid bitch than the winner in correct coat but would persist in standing wide in front which cost her first place, also unsettled on the move. Good head pattern, well constructed with a good tail set. JB. (4). 1. Beard's, Wyndlee Jenny. RBCC. Brown balanced in outline. Litter sister to RDCC winner. Spitzy head with feminine outlook. Nice fill under the eye with good back skull. Good fornt and hind assembly. Sound on the move when settled. 2. Mullholland, Zephon Akane. Wolf sable not in full coat and slightly longer in back than the winner. Level topline. Well laid shoulders and nice turn of stifle. Dark well placed eye. 3. Thomas's, Lysbourne Aasha. PGB. (6). 1. Hamer's, Dagsljus Uptown Girl of Clarmer. Very feminine in good coat and condition. Nice in outline with good head and front, also hindquarters. 2. Alfred's, Rossfort Black Girl at Teamor. Smallish very sound black co-operating well with her handler. Well muscled with good legs and feet. Neat well placed ears. 3. Clewer's, Spellcast Tell a Tailat Bullbo. LB. (4,1). 1. Saich and Saich's, Ichmoran Primrose. Brown and white partu. needs to be handled to be appreciated as can appear stuffy at first glance as she carries a very profuse stand off coat. Well put together with nice head and expression. Good body with short loin and moderate tuckup. Very full of herself and movement needs to settle. 2. King's, Spellcast Talk to da Tail. Glamorous cream longer in back than the winner with slight rise over loin. Well presented with good head and ear carriage. Moved well. 3. King's, Druitz Cariad Back of Grizwold. OB. (5). 1. Orr's, Ch. Pufnstuf Put a Spell on You at Sobriety. BCC. Mature black nice to handle, very sound to go over. Good head pattern with dark wel placed eye. Good body standing square at all times. Moved easily without any exaggeration. 2. Moir's, Ch. Jansanleis Mayhem JW. Another quality bitch very feminine, not in her full coat on the day. Lovely in outline and well balanced.Good pigment and head pattern. Well constructed. Sound on the move. 3. Hamer's, Ir Ch. Wyndlee Silver Lightning of Clarmer Jun Ch. BRACE (2). 1. Beards brace. 2. Hewett's brace.
