My thanks to the exhibitors for a cracking entry & to my efficient stewards.

Quality in general was of a good standard. My only concern being with too many round eyes which spoil expression & poor strolling action. The brisk effortless action required was missing from many.

VD (4) 1 Corkin’s Ch Nixtev Kinetic under Fouranfass, at 7 years old & by far the best in action, true & crisp. Loved the head with good dark eye, sound body & good short well muscled loin; 2 Hewett’s Ch Spellcast Talk To Me, a little larger & not the crispness in action. 8 years & good all round balance, good bone & dentition. He maintained topline in action; 3 Thomas’ Desaria Davin, good condition for a 12 year old but starting to show his age falling in shoulder. PD (9,1a) 1 Godridge’s Flamuna Mani, at 10 months this young man has a super outline both standing & moving. A pleasing head, eye & expression, well set neck, good size & presentation. Lovely action; 2 Orr’s Sobriety Jack Daniels, at 14 months very similar in type to 1 but not the action today. Good overall picture, correct in forechest, correct ribbing & loin; 3 Williams’ Grizwold Lohengrin at Druitz, at 13 months he pushed hard & one day it will be his. Much to like. JD (4) 1 King’s Grizwold Loki, at 23 months he still needs to finish & not yet at his best. Loved his head, flat skull, good eye, well set neck, balanced quarters & pleasing action. For me he has still to finish in body; 2 O’Leary’s Amoyalois Rufus, at 19 months an attractive dog, well up to top size, strong ribbing with good bone & balanced angles in quarters. Another with pleasing action; 3 Taylor’s Zephon Stormchasing, well put together with good balance but felt still a tad narrow in skull. PGD (13,1) 1 Mulholland’s Zephon The Last Samurai, still a yearling this black dog took my eye as he entered the ring. Stylish with good presence & well put together with good quarters, bone & correct action; 2 Beard’s Wyndlee Jester, a dog of good proportions with well ribbed body & short coupling, correct bone, good feet, well arched toes; 3 Davies’ Nixtev Serylius, of pleasing type, liked his head, expression & skull, well put together. LD (14) 1 Jones’ Flamuna Revelations at Runestone, this 3 years old really can go & a picture both standing & moving. Sound in body & quarters, correct in set of neck, forechest & ribbing, balanced through. I love his head & expression. So correct in action & didn’t put a foot wrong. CC & BOB; 2 McWilliam’s Nixtev Raziel at Istramac, another to take my eye who pushed hard for top spot. Good balance & proportion, lovely expression & kind eye, has correct angles allowing correct action; 3 N Serylius. OD (13,2) 1 Garrein’s Lotus A Little Grey Cloud, this dog really has a super outline & a lovely action. An excellent carriage, good head & expression, sound body & well angled quarters, good coupling. A free brisk action. RCC; 2 Sverdh’s Int/Nordu Ch Sable Shades Emilio, smaller than 1 & again quality through. A pleasure to watch in action. He has good all round balance in head & body, clean well set in neck, looking good both standing & moving; 3 Chambers’ Ch Musique Worth The Wait, another of quality, correct outline, good balance & sound action. GCD (5,1) 1 G Loki; 2 Lord’s Ch Nixtev Phoenix, a dog of good proportions but for me a little heavy on the day but he put it together well in action; 3 Drechsler’s Wyndlee Blowin In The Wind at Jeansway, dog of pleasing type, good size & balance. Just crabbed a little in action today.

VB (6,2) 1 King’s Grizwold Inabikari, at 9 years old in good shape for her age with the best in action in the class. Correct in body & good outline; 2 Heslop’s Ch Runfold Joo Joo Bee Doo by Flamuna, not quite the energy of 1 though only a 7 year old. Sound with good bone & ribbing, good coat; 3 Clayton’s Studholme Kiss An Tell, another of pleasing type, good to go over. Just for me a little too high stepping today. PB (5) 1 Garbutt’s Oh My God AV Ostretunet, this 13 month old really put it together on the move, of good size & type, a feminine head with good eye & expression. Sound in body, topline & tail, a sound pleasing action. BP; 2 Saich’s Zephon The Thunderstorm at Lindcoly, at 10 months another to really like. Feminine & of good size, correct in balance of body & head. Just played about a little but well put together; 3 Hewett, King & Mann’s Spellcast Talking About Me, the youngest in the class & still to finish in balance & proportion but pleasing in head & ribbing. JB (4) 1 Z The Thunderstorm at L; 2 Winser’s Lysebourne Aaliyah, little between 1 & 2 for me today. She is of pleasing construction, good rib & loin, another who needs time; 3 Rayment’s Grizwold Lady Of The Lake, a puppy who is still a little raw. Of good size but needs to body & coat. PGB (11) 1 Seppala-Lyly’s Nugadogin Biccolo, this young lady is quite an eye catcher. Lovely outline, she has style & carriage, a really good head of feminine proportions, good neck & wither. Lovely action standing & moving. RCC; 2 Mulholland’s Zephon Akane, similar in type to 1 but on the day not the panache. Sound & typy & well put together, so feminine in head & body yet with substance & pleasing action; 3 Purves’ Bulabs Leading Lady, of good type & unfortunate to meet 1 & 2 in such form today.LB (11,3) 1 Clewer’s Spellcast Tell A Tail at Bullbo, a bitch of good type & style & loved her true free brisk action, well ribbed, good topline & tail, keen eyed, good bone & feet; 2 Garbutt’s Nixtev Tantalize, she has the type & carriage to carry it off. Balanced angles in quarters with correct coupling. A good overall picture standing & moving; 3 King’s Spellcast Talk To Da Tail, stylish & very feminine, pleasing in many departments. Just for me a little longer cast. OB (13,2) 1 Williams’ Ch Druitz Follow That Dream, this 3 years bitch didn’t put a foot wrong, is just a model in action & true fore & aft. Correct in head with broad flat skull, well set neck of correct length, good wither, correct in quarters & ribbing & general all round balance. CC. Just lost out in expression to dog for BOB; 2 Purves’ Ch Rossfort Griselda, this 5 years old put it together well. Feminine with a lovely expression, good carriage, correct in topline & coupling & tail. Good forechest & sound action; 3 Garrein’s Int Sh Ch/Bel/Lux Ch Haylee von der Robsteige, not quite the panache of winners but sound & true, good angles. GCB(4) 1 Moir’s Ch Nixtex Liberty at Jansanleis, coming up for 7 years this young lady was full of life. Pleasing to go over, balanced proportions; 2 G Inabikari; 3 Richardson’s Wyndlee Lawdy Miss Clawdy at Jomihvar, of good type & size, pleasing in head.
