German Spitz Mittel
MPD (1) 1 O’Loughlin’s Caoilta Drexl, Pale gold, Lovely baby to start the day, liked his head, dark oval eye, small well set ears, neck sits cleanly on well fitting shoulders. Firm level topline, high set tail, so well balanced fore & aft, moving well for one so young, in excellent coat & condition, will be interested to see him grow up, showing much promise. PD (3,1a) 1 Hamer’s Borndownunda Talkin Heads Of Clarmer, Pale gold pup well grown, presents a very nice outline, decent head with lovely dark eye, small well set ears used to advantage, well ribbed, moderate angulation with hocks well let down, high set tail, in good coat, needs to body up a bit still but that will come, showed & moved really well to take BP; 2 Taylor’s Zephon Stormchasing, Sable, compact young male, good backskull but a shade fine through muzzle, well set ears, firm topline, moderate hind angulation, let down hocks, high set tail, needs more body weight to finish, in good coat, showed well but moved rather close behind. JD (3) 1 Williams’ Grizwold Lehengrin at Druitz, cream boy & this was one of the closest decisions of the day & I see they are litter brothers! Liked this compact short coupled dog, nice head with dark eye & good pigment, small neat ears used well, well set neck on moderate sloping shoulders, level topline, high set tail, well ribbed up, really good firm quarters, moved out briskly & so on his toes; 2 King’s Grizwold Loki, another quality boy, masculine head, dark eye, small neat ears, compact in body with well developed loin, excellent quarters, high set tail, abundant well presented coat, well schooled & handled to advantage, so close up to 1; 3 Z Stormchasing. PGD (4) 1 G Lohengrin at D; 2 Beard’s Wyndlee Jester, brown, compact & short coupled, masculine head with good expression, wasn’t putting all in & didn’t really want to use his ears, well ribbed, neck sits cleanly on decent shoulders, balanced quarters, high set tail, in excellent coat & condition, moved fairly well when he felt like it; 3 Davies’ Nixtev Serylius. LD (1) 1 Pearce & Francis’ Studholme Rolls Of Thunder at Longsdale, alone but worthy of his place, cream boy nice for size & so well turned out in pristine coat & condition, liked his head & small neat ears, well ribbed, strong loin, high set tail, moderate hind angulation, well let down hocks, on his toes & showed so well, can tighten in movement. OD (6) 1 Chambers’ Ch Musique Worth The Wait, brown, was my BP last time I judged & pleased to see he has fulfilled his early promise, masculine head with small neat ears well set & used, neck sits cleanly on well fitting front assembly, small rounded feet, well ribbed, strong loin, high set tail, well balanced quarters, huge well presented coat, scores so well on his lovely sound effortless movement, pleased to add to his collection of CCs, pity he had girls on his mind in the challenge! 2 Hewett’s Spellcast Shout About It, black, different type to 1 but lots to like, top size & has plenty of substance to carry it, liked his head & dark oval eye, small neat ears, moderately sloping shoulders, close elbows with well boned forelegs, level topline, balanced quarters, high set tail, in excellent coat & condition, moved briskly & soundly. RCC; 3 Smith’s Spellcast Jivetalking.
MPB (3) 1 Chambers’ Musique Charismatic, brown, feminine pup full of mischief, compact & well bodied for age & in lovely coat & condition, liked her head & expression, well balanced fore & aft, high set tail, small round feet, level topline, on her toes & showing so well, can tighten in front movement but moved briskly full of confidence; 2 O’Loughlin’s Caoilta Alabama, delightful cream who could have taken this class if I could have assessed her movement at some point, loved her make & shape, super head & dark eye, necks sits cleanly on good shoulders, compact & well ribbed, level topline, high set tail, well coated for age, she stood beautifully right at the end; 3 Bennett’s Musique Mariella. PB (2,1) 1 Thurston’s Nixtev Ulanza, cream feminine pup with a very nice outline, good for size although maybe a tad fine boned, liked her head & expression, dark oval eye, small neat ears well set, well made forehand, well ribbed, high set tail, sound in hindquarters, in lovely coat & condition, showed quite well for her stand in handler but needs to strengthen in movement.
