German Spitz Mittel
PD (2,1a) 1 Thomas’ Daraydala Lorenzo, nicely coated black who is up to size. Good ratio of skull to muzzle with lovely dark expressive eyes. Nice neck running into good topline & well set on tail. Just enough depth to body which should develop further, moved nicely.
JD (2) 1 Williams’ Grizwold Lohengrin at Druitz, fawn in correct jacket. Lovely head type with good skull, neat ears, dark eyes & good mouth. Nicely angulated both at front & rear. Well sprung in rib with good tailset. Moved nicely but he should not be encouraged to look up at his handler; 2 Day’s Sobriety’s Born To Be Wild, this one appeared to be big, but is in fact, on size. Carrying a very good mane & body coat. Nicely boned with good feet. His forehand does not appeal o me & this was even more evident on the move, has decent width all through which was translated in his rear action but not in front.
PGD (1) 1 Clayton’s Studholme Dark Moon, well balanced b/w parti with pleasing head proportions, good mouth, nice width to skull. Well boned with good tight feet. I would expect more body development at this age but hope it will come. Good rear angulation & moved well.
LD (4) 1 Pooley’s Wyndlee Short N’Sweet at Azkaban, lovely coated black with attractive white toes & tail tip, in great condition. Excellent head with darkest of eyes, neat ears & pleasing expression. Good anguation both front & rear. Good spring & depth of body & excellent bone. Showed really well; 2 Hughes & Forrester’s Druitz Welsh Wizard at Candease, this dog is perhaps more solid but he was lacking in his jacket today. Excellent for balance & his body depth if exceptional, nothing shelly about him. Lovely deep colour with attractive dark tips. Excellent quality bone & good feet. Tight tailset & moved really well; 3 Clayton’s Studholme Kiss Of Ozzy.
OD (5,1a) 1 Hewett’s Ch Spellcast Secrets And Lies, correct texture to his quality cream jacket which was beautifully presented. Nicely balanced with the best of head proportions with correct ears & dark eyes. Well constructed all through & moved the best here. Great neck & topline. Levl croup & lovely tailset. Excellent bone & good feet. Did not put a foot wrong. CC & BOB; 2 Jones’ Flamuna Revelations at Runestone, or/s in lovely coat. Typcial head with good expression. Well set ears of correct size. Nicely boned & has good angulation both ends. Sometimes a bit lazy with his front but moved well in both directions. Decent width & depth to body. RCC; 3 Alfred’s Liubice Just William.
GCD (1) 1 W Short N’Sweet at A.
PB (5) 1 Bennett’s Musique Mariella, at 8 months I wonder if this one will have enough when mature as she is rather fine at this stage but was the best balanced one here. Lovely head, nice pigmentation & mouth, good ears & neck. Topline & tailset are good & she was decent on the move; 2 Mountain’s Musique Hot To Trot at Hocombewood, another brown in excellent coat, with a very similar headpiece & as they are litter sisters this is no surprise, the winner scores in front construction. Overall this one is bigger but most attributes are the same. Not quite true coming towards me; 3 Chambers’ Musique Charismatic.
JB (2,1) 1 Chambers’ Musique Khalessi, well grown 7 month old which was pleasing for type though I would like smaller ears. Well boned & nicely balanced. Moved reasonably well but does need to look forwards rather than up. I hope she will develop more in the body with maturity.
PGB (2) 1 Pooley’s Spellcast Talking Secrets with Azkaban, this one had come out in her bikini & her hander was struggling to keep her concentration today. Good in front & moved really well though just a shade close at the rear. Liked much about her as she stands on well boned legs with good feet. Has good topline & tailset & is well angulated; 2 Clayton’s Studholme Kiss Of Fire, this white was rather erratic on the move & did not seem to be enjoying her day out. Rather low to the ground & seemed to be lacking pigmentation. Decent in head & has good topline & tailset.
LB (6,3) 1 Williams’ Hocombewood Party Popper at Druitz, pretty sable just coming into full coat. Lovely in head with dark eyes & good skull with well shaped muzzle. Neat ears set in the right place. Strong in neck, well sprung body & good bone with tight feet. Really good on the move holding herself correctly & with her tail right on her back. CC; 2 Clewer’s Spellcast Tell A Tail at Bullbo, lovely type black with a pleasing head though I would like a darker eye. Was not using herself well so did not quite project as well as she might as she is very nicely made throughout & is correct balanced. Maybe the heat of the day was affecting her as it so often does with solid blacks; 3 King’s Spellcast Talk To Da Tail.
OB (3) 1 Williams’ Ch Druitz Follow That Dream, another brown coming into a quality full coat. Rather well balanced with good body proportions & decent bone down to tight feet. Good headpiece with well set ears & pigmentation that tones in. Nice on the move. RCC; 2 Moir’s Ch Jansanleis Mayhem, pretty cream which was well off for bone, good depth to body & has an excellent tailset. Moved well in both directions. Somewhat fine in the head although her stop is acceptable & she has good pigmentation.
