Critique

Most of the comments I made in the German Spitz Klein critique hold true for the Mittel as well. Type was a little mixed as it had been several years ago when I last judged, however, it was nice to go over some really nice examples of the breed. I found rear movement quite strong but fronts need a little work. Size and height was mostly good and temperament was excellent.

PD (2) 1 Hall's Sobriety's Grizzly Bear For Pufnstuf. A quality young male of good breed type; with very good head shape and pleasing expression, good eye shape, level top-line. A promising puppy in good coat. 2 Saich's Lindcoly Fozzie Bear. Smaller than my class winner, developing nicely. Good neck and shoulders; moved well coming and going and obviously enjoying his day out. As with my class winner, a quality youngster.

PGD (1) 1 Thomas' Daraydala Lorenzo. A 20 month old dog showing the maturity of an older male. Lovely type; excellent head and expression; good neck and shoulders; good top-line which was held on the move. Good coat texture. A delight to go over.

OD (1) 1 Chamber's Ch. Musique Worth The Wait. I loved the style of this 3 year old male; compact and nearly square in outline; good head with a broad skull and moderate stop; well placed ears set high. Level top-line, short in loin; well boned, good angulation, moved so well around the ring. BD. BOB. 2 Saich's Hocombewood Hot Toddy For lindcoly. Another dog that I liked, of lovely breed type' good, well balanced head; good bite; good forechest and straight front; well ribbed; moved with enough extension around the ring, keeping his top-line level throughout. RBD.

PB (1) 1 Saich's Lindcoly Wishing On a Star. What a super puppy bitch! Such an exquisite with the most delightful expression; excellent breed type, which is well expressed in one so young. Well proportioned head, well shaped eyes, clean cheeks, good bite, nice neck leading into well laid back shoulders; well balanced body; good tail set and carriage, moving so well for one of her age. BP. RBB.

PGB (3) 1 Thomas' Daraydala Lola. Such a sweet natured bitch, which was so easy to handle and go over. Feminine head with sweet expression; well placed ears. Good top-line; good rear angulation. Good rear action but moved a little wide in front. 2 Chamber's Musique Charismatic. The gales and rain blowing through the tent may not have done this bitch many favours as she was a little unsettled on the day. There is much to like about her though as she is well constructed and well balance throughout; nothing over done. When settled she moved true coming and going. She shows much promise. 3 Hall's Flamuna Conversation Diva at Pufnstuf.

LB (2) 1 Saich's Zephon The Thunderstorm At Lindcoly. A super bitch in excellent coat. Good head with enough neck. Good angles front and rear, nice body with good ribbing, straight top-line; short in loin; good feet and tail carriage; moved with drive around the ring. BB. 2 Thomas' Daraydala Cecilia. Typy bitch, not in full coat but having nothing bad to hide; nice head with well placed ears and pleasing expression; correct bite; good feet. Front action not as strong as my class winner today.
