Critique

MPD (2) 1 Church’s Nixtev Wolfsbane with Claricheon, biggish lad, full of himself who has a well shaped head, dark eye & plenty of bone. Longer cast than I would like & will no doubt grow into himself in time. Steady mover; 2 Holmes’ Dream In Million, well under the measure & took time to settle. He has a head with a good breadth of skull, neat erect ears, good set on & neat feet. Somewhat erratic on the move. PD (3) 1 BP, Hall’s Sobriety’s Grizzly Bear for Pufnstuf, well made brown, compact & all of a piece. Should progress as long as he does not grow on. Head of good proportion, with eyes, ears & neck all plus points. Scored in topline with a strong loin & good set on. Moved out well fore & aft; 2 Clayton’s Galvazach Moon Spectre, close up & he has a good head, correct stop, good pigment & nice lines in profile. Held a firm topline & acquitted himself well. Just preferred movement of 1; 3 Taylor’s Zephon King Of The Rock for Tispitza. JD (3) 1 S Grizzly Bear for P; 2 Holmes’ Wyndlee Storm Rising, took time to settle, attractive head, straight front, just enough neck & is well ribbed up. Somewhat erratic on the move. PGD (2) 1 Clayton’s Studholme Dark Moon, well proportioned head, moderate stop, dark, expressive eye & neat well set ears. A little longer than I would like, but moved freely with a good side gait; 2 Hornby-Smith & Smith’s Druitz the Gingerbread Man of Spitzbury, not too happy & not the head qualities of 1, however he is compact & pleased in neck, topline & rib. Put in a steady round once settled. LD (5,1a) 1 Saich’s Zephon Akio at Lindcoly, not the biggest but all of a piece & balanced all through. Well presented & handled, scored in head, eye & neck with a good straight front, short loin & well set tail. Moved out freely both ways; 2 Williams’ Grizwold Lohengrin at Druitz, nice package, head of good shape & proportion, straight well boned front & held a firm topline. Not the sparkle or movement of 1; 3 Hamer’s Borndownunda Talkin Heads of Clarmer. OD (3) 1 CC & BOB, Williams’ Spellcast Talk To De Paw at Trebettyn, just prevailed over 2 with his balance & quality. All male, he scores heavily in head, eye, expression, neck, topline & tailset. He is right for size, well ribbed up & moved out freely both ways. Good to see he was short listed in the group; 2 RCC, O’Leary’s Ir Ch Amoyalois Rufus for Cadasaro, another quality lad, so well presented & handled. He has a good head piece, just enough stop & neck, a strong level topline & is short in loin. Moved out well fore & aft with an excellent side gait; 3 Beard’s Ir Ch Wyndlee Jester. VD (0).

MPB (0). PB (2) 1 Saich’s Lindcoly Pixie Princess, feminine, nice for size with a pleasing head, small well set ears & scored in topline, rib & tailset. Must surely progress, as will her litter sister. Free mover; 2 Saich’s Lindcoly Wishing On A Star, close up & quite a difficult decision as she has all the qualities of her sister. Perhaps not the bone & sparkle, but both are babies & will be strong competition for each other. Another good mover. JB (1) 1 L Pixie Princess. PGB (3) 1 Chambers’ Musique Charismatic, nice brown, compact & right for size. Head of good shape & proportion, pleasing expression & holding a firm topline at all times. She has just enough bone, a coat of good texture & although running a bit narrow behind, moved out well; 2 Mountain’s Musique Hot To Trot at Hocombewood, another nice brown who unfortunately gave up with the hot conditions. Pleased in outline & scored in head & neck. Steady mover; 3 Hall’s Flamuna Conversation Diva at Pufnstuf. LB (2) 1 RCC, Barnes’ Mann & Hewett’s Spellcast Talking About Me, well made black, balanced all through, headpiece & stop were plus points & she has a straight, well boned front, neat feet & shows nice lines in profile. Moved out freely, covering the ground well; 2 Saich’s Zephon The Thunderstorm at Lindcoly, another nice one, perhaps a little longer cast than 1 & not the coat, but pleased in head shape, eye, ears & neck & held a cracking topline on the move. Good side gait. OB (4,2) 1 CC, O’Leary’s Utopia Aus Dem Norden at Cadasaro, what a lovely lady to take this last class & the CC. Great quality with her head of correct shape & size, expressive eye & just enough neck. Her strong level topline was complemented by a correct tailset & a strong rearend which allowed unhurried, but positive movement. A class act; 2 Beard’s Wyndlee Jenny, well made & nice for size & scored in head, topline & tailset, with correct angulation. Not the coat, movement or sparkle of 1.
