Critique
PD (2) 1 BP Clayton’s Galvizach Moon Spectre lovely size, an obvious Mittel but easily under the measure. Cream owing a beautiful head, fairly flat & broad enough in skull, medium stop & such good muzzle weight. He has ample neck, is so well ribbed & compact in body with a correct tail set & carriage. In spotless jacket, he moved out with precision. In excellent coat he was a worthy BP & should have a bright future; 2 Church’s Nixtev Wolfsbane with Claricheon cream, up to size, skull flat enough but lacks stop definition. I would like smaller ears, he has a wealth of coat, is big ribbed, well boned & tight feet. Moved out with balance & well schooled. JD (4,1a) 1 Taylor’s Zephon King Of The Rock for Tispitza this white won here on having what I thought was the best eye & typical expression. They are almond, so dark & alive, neat ears, good head carriage, nicely ribbed & straight forelimbs. He was in lovely coat, carries his tail well & is quite animated on the stack; 2 Hughes & Forrester’s Grizwold Muraco Moon over Candease cream with excellent length/height rations, being just off the square. While his head is well balanced for skull/muzzle ratios, I would like the skull to be flatter & the eye a little less full. Scores in the straightness of his backline, spring & depth of ribs & that lovely tail. I felt he could have extended himself a little more in profile action; 3 Clayton’s Wyndlee Perfect Storm. PGD (2,1) 1 Hearson’s Nixtecv Uraxys at Jumasue, this white is all male in head. I loved his eyes & expression, neat ears & head carriage. In lovely body & coat which was well groomed. He is well boned, has such tight feet & showed well. Just a pity he came towards me somewhat wider than his construction implied he would. Side on he is balanced. LD (2,1) 1 CC & BOB, King’s Grizwold Loki, this light red won me over with the quality of his head, eyes & that stunning expression aided by having such a decent width in muzzle. Enough neck, well ribbed, level back, so well muscled hams & his tail bang on top. He is quite sound as he moves around the ring & his front action was so good. In lovely bloom, he is a most co-operative showman & in this form his crown should come soon. I believe this is his 2nd CC. OD (6,1) 1 RCC, Smith’s Ch Spellcast Jiveling, superbly coated & presented black whose harsh jacket gleamed with well being. I liked his head pattern, moderate stop, almost flat fairly broad skull, very good ears & dark eyes which are just a tad full for me & which went against him in the challenge. He is certainly compact, has good bone & feet, his back is level & the tail well carried. Certainly a worthy ch; 2 Hewett’s Ch Spellcast Shout About It, lots to admire in this handsome headed black who again was in full bloom & bristling with good health. He is so well bodied, loved his eyes & ears, never gives up showing & moved around the ring with a positive stride. I felt he had a little more neck that I would have liked which edged it to the winner. However, unsurprised to read he is ennobled; 3 O’Leary’s Ir Ch Amoyalois Rufus for Cadasaro.
VB (1) 1 Moir’s Ch Nixtev Liberty at Jasanlais, there was not a better conditioned nor prepared exhibit on view than this delightful ever so worthy titleholder. So bright & alive in expression & moved around the ring like something half her age. She is pretty, utterly feminine in expression, loved her eyes, tail never down & she is sound. MPB (1) 1 Clewer’s Bulbo Over The Moon, what a pretty little cream this is. So well pigmented, dark expressive eyes, skull moderately broad & quite flat then topped off with well set, neat ears. She is in love with the world, non-stop tail wagger & was in lovely coat. She is basically sound on the move & is already a good showgirl. Just a baby & much less finished than the BP but her time can come. PB (0). JB (2) A. PGB (2) 1 Rolleston’s Kelham The Power Of Love, this cream needs to go on a diet & clearly loves her food! She is a good wither height, really good head, eyes, ears & expression, well ribbed & is quite compact. Despite the weight she was basically sound out & back; 2 Bennett’s Musique Mariella at Melitabe, choc who is on the small side for a Mittel & I would like more substance throughout. Head proportions of skull/muzzle OK but I would like more jaw width. In between coats & she does need some ring training especially when moving. LB (2,1) 1 Clewer’s Spellcast Tell A Tale at Bullbo, lovely natured black who moved around the ring with an easy stride. Pleasing head balance, ears a trifle wide set & carried & I would like a less full eye, though they are a good shape & are dark. In excellent bloom & seemed to be enjoying her day out. OB (5,1) 1 CC Moir’s Ch Jansanleis Mayhem, heaps to admire on this immaculately coated & presented deep cream. Looks every inch the titleholder she is. Has style, shape, is well constructed, floated around the ring with such ease & purpose & never lets up showing. Her skull is just right, the eyes well placed, a good shape, so dark & full of life. Probably the most even striding mover of the day & she ran the BOB so close; 2 RCC, Blight’s Flaumuna Curtain Call for Rosechow, this really good quality black was unlucky to meet the winner in this form as I would be happy to sign a CC for her in this form. She has shape, style, is well put together, was in lovely body & coat & her profile action was smooth & effective. Not quite so tidy coming towards me as Mayhem which swung the scales her way; 3 O’Leary’s Ir Ch Utopia Aus Dem Norden at Cadasaro.
