Critique
My thanks to the society for the invitation to judge at one of my favourite shows & to the exhibitors for the sportsmanship they showed to all placings. My thanks to my most efficient stewards who covered my breeds today with speed & smiles.
PD (3) 1 Chambers’ Druitz By Design for Musique, 6 months, mature for age. Good overall balance, pleasing head, nice earset all giving correct expression. Correct in neck & topline. Correct shoulders, front & hindquarters; 2 Holloway’s Nixtev Yago, 6 months, just lacked the balance & movement of winner. Appealed in head & eye, good front & feet; 3 Poultney’s Daraydala Meet Joe Black at Sirchray.
PGD (4) 1 O’Loughlin’s Caoilta Drexi, easy winner with excellent head, good eye, nice well set ears, all giving correct expression. Nice balanced body, good shoulders, front, bone & feet, presented in firm condition with good movement; 2 Taylor’s Zephon King Of The Rock for Tispitza, lacked the firm condition & movement today of winner. Good overall balance, good eye & earset. Nice in shoulder, ample neck, good topline & hindquarters; 3 Hearson’s Nixtev Uraxys at Jumasue.
LD (3) 1 Cook & Clayton’s Studholme Me Moon Orbit, 2 year old, excellent balanced head, nice well set ears. Ample neck that well with overall balance, good shoulders, front, bone & feet. Level topline, firm hindquarters. Good tailset & carried well at all times. In movement was steady but true; 2 Clayton’s Studholme Dark Moon, lacked the movement & showmanship of winner. Pleasing in outline with good balance. Nice in shoulder, good front & level topline; 3 Wilson’s Nickila Silver Sovereign.
OD (6) Excellent class of quality. 1 Smith’s Ch Spellcast Jivetalking, like very much the overall balance & construction of this very alert & showy 5 year old. Super outline, excellent ears correctly set & used to advantage. Pleasing balanced head, eye, thus all giving correct spitz expression. Correct neck that fits with overall balance, good body shape, topline & tailset. Good shoulders, tight elbows, correct in bone & feet, nice firm rear. Very sound in movement front, side & rear. Pleased to award him the CC; 2 Williams’ Ch Spellcast Talk To Da Paw at Trebettyn, quality looking male. Tad larger litter brother to winner. Preferred overall expression of winner, otherwise same remarks apply to this exhibit. Both are a credit to their owners & breeder. RCC; 3 Chambers’ Ch Musique Worth The Wait.
VD (1) 1 O’Loughlin’s Caoilta Wicca, very nice 7 year old with excellent breed type. Good movement front, rear & side. Correct masculine head, excellent eye, neat well set ears & alert at all times. Good shoulders, correct front, rear & feet. BV.
PB (5) 1 CC, BOB & BP, Connor’s Galvizach Daraydala Top Class, 9 months quality lady who I considered today was an easy winner of the CC. Loved her overall construction & balance of size falling well within the Standard. Feminine head, nice eye & ear all giving the correct expression. Neck fitting correctly into body, good topline. Good hindquarters & for one so young carries nice muscle. Excellent shoulders, elbows tight, correct front & feet. Moved with style & total freedom. Presented in excellent body condition & coat & I considered the latter to make her worthy of the BOB award today. I was sorry to see that the BIS ring did not have the pleasure of seeing this most promising young lady represent the breed in the puppy & adult groups today; 2 Hewett & Barnes’ Spellcast Now Ya Talkin, most promising 10 month old with super outline, feminine head, nice mouth & underjaw, nice ears, well set & alert expression. Good rear &, like winner, well muscled for one so young. Correct length of neck, good topline & tailset. Excellent in front with neat tight feet. Moved with freedom & style to take the deserved RCC; 3 Church & Bamford’s Fisherbloom Blue Moon with Claricheon.
JB (2) 1 F Blue Moon with C, presented in firm condition without being overdone in any way. Pleasing movement, tight elbows straight in front but a shade wide, tight feet; 2 Clewer’s Bullbo Over The Moon, nice front & rear with feminine bone. Pleasing eye & alert expression, preferred earset of winner, & she still needs to tighten a shade in movement.
PGB (3) 1 Alfred’s NixtevVitesse at Teamor, lot to like about this 2 year old that was presented in firm well muscled condition. Well pigmented, nice shape dark eye, giving a most pleasing expression. Found her nicely balanced throughout, excellent in topline, a shade loose in elbow, & in movement on the day, needed to tighten in front. Excellent feet; 2 Saich’s Lindcoly Wishing On A Star, 2 year old who is very much at the in-between stage, & like the winner still needs to tighten a shade in front. Pretty feminine head, just preferred expression of winner; 3 Adams’ Aquaveins Spirit Seeker.
LB (3) 1 Barnes, Mann & Hewett’s Spellcast Talking About Me, liked this lady’s headpiece with good underjaw, excellent eye & alert expression. Neck fits nicely into well balanced body of correct shape. Good shoulders, straight front, excellent rear. Her true movement won the class; 2 Saich’s Bulabs Staring Stephenie for Lindcoly, balanced body, correct in shoulder & topline, I felt today I preferred head & expression of winner; 3 Heslop’s Flamuna Khione.
OB (2) 1 Clewers’ Spellcast Tell A Tail at Bullbo, 4 year old, presented in firm condition & good coat. Feminine in head, well developed without being overdone in body. Good topline & with correct tailset. Correct well muscled hindquarters. Pleasing straight front with tight elbows & feet. While I felt she did not have the overall balance of 2, her movement won her the class; 2 Hewett & Barnes’ Ch Spellcast Talk To Da Tail, liked this lady a lot, most pleasing in head, nice underjaw, feminine expression. Well balanced throughout. Firm level topline, correct body shape & good tailset. Excellent in shoulder, nice bone & tidy feet. Sadly, movement let her down today.
VB (1) 1 Thurston’s Ch Caoilta for Liubice, 7 year old, well worthy of her title. Excellent construction throughout. Excellent feminine head that’s well balanced with nice expression. Nice in shoulder & front. Good topline, tailset & hindquarters. Good front movement.
