Critique

GERMAN SPITZ - MITTEL

MPD (1) 1 Saich's Lindcoly Blue Moon. Six and a half mth blue. Nicely balanced youngster with moderately short neck, firm topline, ribbed well back, short loin and curled tail set on high. Correct skull to muzzle proportions with moderate stop, small ears set on well, correct eye for colour but a slightly rounder than the ideal, clean cheeks and excellent dentition. Pleasing angles both front and rear, straight forelegs, super feet and carrying nice bone. Moving so well in profile, nice and straight coming towards but a fraction closer behind. First class temperament.  

PD (1) 1 Saich's Lindcoly Blue Moon. 

JD (2) 1 Saich's Lindcoly The One An Only. 13 mth wolf sable/white particolour who presented a well balanced outline with correct length of neck, firm level topline, nice spring of rib which extends well back, short loin and tail set on nice and high. Pleasing head with good breadth to skull, dark eye, excellent ears for size and set, clean cheeks, nice pigmentation and correct scissor bite. Soundly made all through and moving nice and straight fore and aft and in typical brisk fashion on the go around. Good coat and very well handled. 2 Player & Waters' Longsdale's No Regrets At Wayworthy. 15 mth shaded black who is so very different to the winner and out of a larger mould. I thought this boy a super type and actually preferred his head and expression, having dark oval shaped eyes which are obliquely set, good skull to muzzle proportions, ears set on high and correct dentition. He is nicely balanced with good neck, topline and tailset, rib extends well back and he has a short muscular loin. Moving well in profile but unfortunately not so good coming and going. Quality coat. 

PGD (2) 1 Hughes & Forrester's Marlais Moonlight Serenade Over Candease. Two very different types here with the winner being this 19 mth black. Compact in outline with just enough neck, firm topline, muscular loin and curled tail set on nice and high. Could have a little more length to the ribcage. Delightful head and expression with good breadth of skull, moderate stop, dark oval shaped eyes of correct set, ears set on well and correct dentition. Moderate slope to shoulder with nice return of upper arm and moderately angulated hindquarters. Moving well all through when settled with excellent self carriage. Quality coat of good texture. 2 Barnes & King's Spellcast Talk With Me By Izlou. 19 mth cream who had left his wardrobe at home on the day. He presented a nicely balanced outline with good length of neck, level topline, pleasing rib and loin, good depth of chest and tail set on nice and high. Nice head although I preferred the expression of the winner with this boy being slightly shorter in muzzle, ears set on well, dark eyes and moderate stop. Moving so well in profile with confident carriage, just a touch wider going away. Well handled. 

LD (1) 1 Hewett's Spellcast Talk Tidee. 2 yr old brown who was standing alone here but a quality boy all through. He scored for overall type and balance with good neck, firm level topline, excellent ribbing, short muscular loin and curled tail set on high. Most attractive head and expression with good skull to muzzle proportions, moderate stop, excellent eye and ear, clean cheeks, correct pigmentation for colour and scissor bite. Nice layback of shoulder, straight well boned forelegs, compact feet and muscular hindquarters with moderate angulation. Moving so well in profile and nice and straight when going away. Front not perfect but nothing untoward. Excellent coat. RCC. 

OD (6) 1 Williams' Ch Spellcast Talk To Da Paw At Trebettyn ShCM. Quality black just one day short of his seventh birthday. He is so go to go over given his correct construction and scores for type, balance and size. Super head and expression with nice breadth to his fairly flat skull which is proportionate to the length of his muzzle, moderate stop, clean cheeks, dark oval shaped eyes which are obliquely set, ears set on rather high and excellent dentition. Neck of correct length, level topline with good spring of rib which extends well back, short muscular loin and high set curled tail. Excellent front assembly, with moderately sloping shoulder and nice return of upper arm, straight forelegs and nice compact feet. Moving freely and briskly and making the most of himself as he goes. Quality coat and so very well handled. CC & BOB. 2 Roberts' Longsdale Turning Tables At Cwrtafon. 2 yr old cream who unfortunately was somewhat out of coat on the day. Another quality boy who is well constructed, nicely balanced and of correct type. Pleasing headpiece with good skull to muzzle proportions, moderate stop, good eye but not quite that of the winner, ears set on high and correct scissor bite. Well made both front and rear, standing nice and straight in front on good feet and muscular hindquarters which are moderately angulated. Neck of nice length, firm topline, well ribbed back, short loin and tail set on well. Moving true on the down and back and holding his topline on the go around. Coat of good texture. 3 King's Ch Grizwold Loki. 

MPB (2) 1 Barnes & King's Izlou Walnut Forget Me. Two super puppies here but quite different. The winner was this confident black, at her first show and just 3 days over 6 mths. I thought her something very special and I would imagine she has a very bright future ahead. Feminine throughout and beautifully balanced with good neck, level topline, ribbed well back and rib developing well for her age, short muscular loin and curled tail set on nice and high. Most attractive head and expression with excellent eye and ear, good skull to muzzle proportions, moderate stop and correct dentition. As sound as they come, standing straight in front on the very best of feet and nice firm hindquarters with moderate turn of stifle. Moving freely with excellent self carriage and standing foot perfect when she comes to a stop. RCC and Best Puppy. 2 Saich's Lindcoly Wishing On A Dream. Six and a half mth black and very much a baby but another so very promising. She has the most adorable temperament and I couldn't stop smiling at her! Smaller right now than the winner but she is a super type, so very well balanced and well constructed. Quality headpiece with nice breadth to her skull, good proportions, moderate stop, dark oval shaped eyes of correct set, ears set on high and correct dentition. Compact outline with moderately short neck, firm topline, good length to ribcage, short loin and tail set on nice and high. Good angles both front and rear, straight well boned forelegs, compact feet and firm, muscular rear. Somewhat bouncy given her zest for life but moving true and in typical brisk fashion. Quality coat. 

PB (2) 1 Barnes & King's Izlou Walnut Forget Me. 2 Saich's Lindcoly Wishing On A Dream.

JB (1) 1 Roberts' Bullbo Star Attraction At Cwrtafon. 14 mth white who was not quite in full coat on the day. She appealed for type and balance, presenting a lovely outline with clean neck of good length, excellent topline, ribbed well back, muscular loin and curled tail set on well. Attractive head of good proportions with fairly flat skull, moderate stop, nice dark eye, ears set on high and excellent dentition. She is slightly out at elbow and comes at you wider than preferred but she moves out well in profile and is nice and firm behind. Nice compact feet. What coat she had was of good texture. 

PGB (1) 1 Hall's Spellcast Lets Ava Talk At Pufnstuf. 19 mth cream and another who was out of coat. She was good to go over and soundly built. Slightly longer cast but with neck of nice length, firm topline, pleasing spring of rib, muscular loin and tail set on well. Feminine headpiece with fair breadth to skull, moderate stop, good eyes for shape and colour, ears set on high, correct dentition but just a shade shorter in muzzle. Good angles both front and rear, standing nice and straight in front on compact feet and firm hindquarters with hocks moderately well let down. Moving freely with confident carriage. Very well handled. 

LB (3) 1 Taylor's Clarmers Mischief Managed Under Tispitza JW. 20 mth black who won this class with some room to spare and ticked all the boxes for me. Feminine girl who presents a beautifully balanced, compact outline with neck of correct length, firm level topline, good length to ribcage, nice short loin and curled tail set on high. Quality head with correct skull to muzzle proportions, nice breadth to skull, moderate stop, the very best of eyes and ears, clean cheeks and correct scissor bite. Well made all through with moderately sloping shoulder, straight forelegs, compact feet and firm hindquarters with moderate turn of stifle. Moving in typical brisk fashion, using herself at all times and nice and straight on the down and back. Attentive showgirl who was so very well handled. CC and close up to the BOB who turned out to be her sire! 2  Williams' Dulais Moonlight Over Paris At Trebettyn JW. 19 mth wolf sable. Feminine girl of nice size and balance. Neck of correct length, level topline, good depth to chest but rib could extend a little further back, muscular loin and tail set on well. Pleasing head and expression with nice width to skull, correct proportions, moderate stop, dark oval shaped eye although not quite the set of winner, ears set on high and correct dentition. She stands well naturally and moves out well in profile with nice self carriage and has particularly good rear action. Another who was handled to advantage. 3 Barnes & King's Spellcast Now Ya Talkin JW. 

OB (1) 1 Hughes & King's Zephon Akane. 5 yr old sable. Confident showgirl who pleased overall. Nicely balanced with moderately short neck, firm level topline, good depth to chest but another who I would like to see a tad more length to the ribcage, muscular loin and nice high tail set. Feminine head and expression with correct proportions, nice dark eye, ears set on well and correct scissor bite. Well made both ends, standing foot perfect at all times and moving freely with excellent self carriage. Quality coat. Super temperament and very well handled. 

VB (1) 1 King's Druitz Cariad Bach Of Grizwold ShCM. 8 yr old orange who was shown in excellent condition and with full dentition. Feminine girl with nicely proportioned head, moderate stop, oval-shaped eyes of correct colour, ears set on rather high and clean cheeks. Neck of nice length, firm topline, ribbed well back and nicely sprung, short loin and tail set on fairly well. She stands nice and straight in front on good feet and is moderately angulated behind. Moving briskly on the go around but just a fraction closer go away. Another with a great temperament and handled to advantage. Best Veteran.
