GERMAN SPITZ - MITTEL
Always a challenging breed as type is so varied. Some are getting much too short on the leg and long in body. That said, movement in general was good and I was happy with my ultimate winners.
PD (1) 1 Durham's Spellcast Hear Your Talk (AI). Very nice black to start the day, was rather unsettled but I understand not shown by his usual handler. Good head developing with dark eyes and lovely expression, overall balance is excellent, did enough on the move to prove he has drive and precision. Think he will make his presence felt when he collects himself.
JD (1) 1 Saich's Lindcoly Blue Moon. Up to size, good balance to head, though would like slightly darker eye, nice for bone and feet, good angulation fore and aft, steady mover out and back.
PGD (4) 1 Saich's Lindcoly The One An Only. Parti who played his handler up today, scored in front assembly here, masculine head of good balance, strong body, good outline and topline, good on the move. 2 Garbutt & Corkin's Nixtev Zeventis. Black with good head, eye and expression, nice for neck and shoulders, a little wide in front but sound on the move. 3 Henry's Musique Zirkon.
LD (3, 1) 1 Barnes & King's Spellcast Talk With Me By Izlou. Cream dog of high quality, scores in head and expression, excellent pigmentation, good light action, nice reach and strong drive behind. 2 Hearson's Nixtev Uraxys At Jumasue. Not the angulation of winner, nice expression and well set and used ears, good topline maintained on the move.
OD (4) 1 Smith's Ch Spellcast Jivetalking. Veteran black dog of high order, so well balanced, excellent bone and feet, good head and expression, clean neck and shoulders, well made body and quarters, very good on the move. CC and BOB. 2 Roberts' Ch Longsdale Turning Tables At Cwrtafon. Well made body, with good pigmentation, would prefer smaller ear but they are well placed and used, good front action but a little close behind. 3 Rogerson & Mulholland's Fisherbloom Black Shaman With Nosregor.
Sp Beg B (1) 1 Drew's Izlou Peanut Passion. Very feminine youngster, pretty head and expression, body is well put together and she uses herself well on the move.
PB (3) 1 Rogerson's Nosregor Unforgettable. Better front than others here, rather raw in body at the moment but has plenty of time, good on the move when she settled, a little light in bone. BP. 2 Hewett's Spellcast Talking Point (AI). Very well made black with lots to like, a little overawed today but once she gets her act together should do very well. 3 Saich's Lindcoly Love Affair.
JB (3) 1 Barnes & King's Izlou Walnut Forget Me. Very stylish black, so good to go over, lovely head and eye, great shoulders and front angulation, strong body, firm topline and quarters, very good rear action but couldn't settle in front so had to settle for RCC. 2 Saich's Lindcoly Wishing On A Dream. Out of a smaller mould but still very balanced and handles well, good rear quarters, steady mover fore and aft. 3 Drew's Izlou Peanut Passion.
PGB (4) 1 Roberts' Bullbo Star Attraction At Cwrtafon. Won on movement here, nice head properties, well placed ears, clean neck and shoulders, good for bone and feet, enough rear angulation, uses herself well on the move. 2 Garbutt & Corkin's Nixtev Xamira. More compact than winner but not the angulation, sound mover but not the reach or drive of winner. 3 Rogerson's Nosregor Lullabye.
LB (4) 1 Garbutt's Nixtev Yazara. Very well made and overall scores for balance, excellent pigment and eye shape, good set and use of ears, nice neck and shoulders, well made body, good quarters, moved well out and back, in full bloom. CC, her fourth I understand. 2 Bellingham's Grizwold Moons Mystic Charm. Preferred eye of winner but has a good head, nice for bone and feet, moved ok fore and aft but a little wide in front. 3 Saich's Lindcoly Wishing On A Star.
OB (4, 1) 1 Moir's Ch Jansanleis Envy JW. Very smart free moving bitch of high order, scores in head, eye and expression, very free moving, not in full bloom today. 2 Taylor's Clarmers Mischief Managed Under Tispitza JW. Slightly bigger black but retains overall balance and very good on the move, not quite the expression of winner. 3 Andrew's Dagsljus Against All Odds At CLaran (Imp).
