Critique

I would like to thank the German Spitz Breeder’s & Owner’s Club for supporting the classes and Miss Alison Saich for her generous exhibitor’s prizes. Thanks also to my very efficient Steward.

PUPPY 1 GARBUTT’S NIXTEV BARBARUS (D) 7 months wolf sable – there is no mistaking this pup for a girl all masculine outline – expressive head – well set on ears correct size for head – dark eyes correct shape, good length of muzzle – strong large teeth. Good length of neck into correct shoulder placement – medium length of back to give square appearance, tail carried tight to back – good hindquarters to well padded round feet – moved okay – showed very well in challenge BP
POST GRAD 2
1st GARBUTT & CORKIN’S NIXTEV ZEVENTIS (D) Black 20 month old looks to be big but once through coat he is not. Good head with dark eye, correct length of muzzle with scissor bite. Good length of neck into correct shoulders, straight front . Good depth of rib to length of back to give balanced outline – strong quarters with bend of stifle- well rounded padded feet – moved with ease.
2ND HESLOP’S FLAMUNA AWESOME AS (D) black 18 months much the same size as 1st – good bone – very masculine head, more rounder dark eye, good scissor bite, medium neck into shoulder, balanced length of back, strong quarters, well carried tail – once settled moved okay.
LIMIT 2
Lovely ladies – not sure what got into them – oh I know they’re spitz’s!!!
1st PURVES’S BULABS LEADING LADY (B) cream 7 yrs very lady like – well shaped ears correctly placed once she used them – correct muzzle length correct scissor bite. Dark eye, lovely reach of neck into well laid shoulders – good length of back in proportion to being a female – strong muscled quarters - good feet – once owner and her worked through the gears moved very soundly.
2nd GARBUTT & CORKIN’S NIXTEV XAMIRA (B) WHITE 3 & HALF YEARS DIFFERENT TYPE TO 1ST – LOVELY BALANCED HEAD – LOVELY EXPRESSION – CORRECT SCISSOR BITE – SMALL CORRECT EAR placement when used – small dark eyes, good length of neck into well placed shoulders – straight front – square body into strong quarters – well carried tail – good coat – she obviously out to enjoy herself – I did spot lovely bits of movement but not enough today to pip 1st.

1st GARBUTT’S CH NIXTEV POLARIZE (D) white 9yrs a different type from this kennel – just my cup of tea – totally in correct proportions for his size – masculine head – using those correctly placed ears well – dark eye, good length of muzzle, correct clean scissor bite, good flow of neck into well laid shoulders – correct front – very square length of body to length of leg – level back – tight tail – good strong muscled quarters – well padded round feet – moved very soundly was pushed hard in challenge but BOB
2nd HESLOP’s FLAMUNA ARKTOURIS (D) rich brown 6yrs another masculine type – good bone – neat correct ear placement – good eye – correct scissor bite – medium length of neck into well placed shoulders – straight front - very square body and length of back – strong quarters, tight well carried tail – moved well - lacked coat to complete picture.
