Critique

What an honour to Judge not only at this show, but a breed I Live with, I first judged this beautiful breed over 15 years ago and like then, through dedicated breeders, the breed continues to thrive which showed in the quality exhibits that were shown under me on the day, additionally there was plenty of strength in depth in all classes which can only bowed well for the future. Delighted and honoured to get one of the biggest entries for a few years and all my placings were well received.

Thank you to my stewards on the day Avis & Preston, and your help on the day was most appreciated.

Some exibits weren’t as settled as I’ve seen them previously, I think it’s probably because this was the first indoor show post Covid

Excellent coat condition and presentation. Moved nicely for a baby. Lots to like about this youngster

1^st Ms L BARNES & Miss K ANDREW Claran Copper Nebula At Izlou, 9 Months old Sable, Lovely square compact shape stood, correct front and rear angulation, Excellent top line and tail set. Attractive masculine head for a youngster, excellent eye shape. Good bite and pigment. Excellent coat condition and presentation, Well handled. Needs to settle more on the move at times although he does move well. Just needs to mature to complete the picture. BPIB

2^nd Miss A SAICH LINDCOLY POLARBEAR, 11 months old Cream boy, Good shape in profile when stood, Attractive head when he’s alert, Good bone and tight feet, Excellent front and shoulder, Good coat texture, Excellent tail set which balances his profile, Nice baby who just needs to settle more on the move. Still lots of maturing to do which you’d expect at this age.

1^st Mrs & Mr P ROGERSON NOSREGOR IN A LAND OF MYTH, 16 months Brown and white Male, Eye catching in profile with excellent top line and tail set. Good front and rear angulation, Excellent tight feet and well off for bone, Good top line and nice tail set that balances his head in profile, Attractive head, Good bite and pigment, Well handled, Has a touch of class this young man, Just needs to tighten in front movement to complete the picture.

2^nd Mrs C KING Grizwold Night Owl, 14 months old Sable, Nice shape stood in profile, Good topline and tail set, Good rear angulation and drive, Attractive head with well set ear shape and size. Excellent bite and pigment, Moved well always, Well handled, One to watch when he matures

1^st Ms L BARNES & Miss I KING Ch Izlou Shiver Me Timbers – CC. 2 year old Black Male, Impressive male when he enters the ring and doesn’t disappoint to go over either, Lovely shape stood and on the move, Attractive and masculine head, Excellent ear set and shape. Good mouth and pigment, Correct eye shape and colour. Lovely side gait. Excellent physical condition which is a credit to the owners, Excellent coat condition and presentation, Delighted to award him the Dog CC against strong opposition

2^nd Mrs E BLIGHT Izlou Float Ma Boat. 2 year old Black Sable Male, Another male I really liked and later found out he was litter brother to the CC winner. Super shape stood and on the move. Excellent coat condition although on the day I thought he was overloaded with coat which made him look overdone, Lovely masculine head with excellent ear shape and set, Excellent eye shape and colour. Again shown in excellent condition. Well handled and has a bright future.
