Critique

German Spitz (Mittel) - Minor Puppy Dog

1ST - Izlou You Know You Love Me TAF (Ms K Andrew). Handsome black boy. Good wedge-shaped head, correct scissor bite, neat ears. Well ribbed with short loin. Super topline held on the move. Well set tail. This young dog is so well balanced and I’m sure he will have a bright future. BPIB

 2ND - Doroluna If The Crown Fits (Dr L Drew)  Well schooled boy. Good width of skull but preferred muzzle length of 1. Good balance to body with a strong level topline. Well set tail. Neat feet and strong pasterns. Hocks need to strengthen but he moved with ease around the ring.

1ST - Izlou No Prob Llama (Ms L & Miss I Barnes & King) Smart Particolour boy. Broad skull with good ear set. Would prefer a more moderate stop but his head proportions are good. Correct bite. Good topline and underline. Strong hocks enabled him to move briskly and effortlessly around the ring.

 2ND - Lindcoly Simba (Mr C J & Mrs L M Saich). Lacking his jacket today but what he had was of the correct harsh texture. Pleasing head proportions and good dentition. Correct eye shape and neat ears. Ideal size and well balanced. Movement was not so good today as he was slightly wide at both the front and rear. Excellent temperament.

1ST - Claran Copper Nebula at Izlou (Ms L & Miss I Barnes & King)  Very handsome masculine sable dog. Good wedge-shaped head with appealing expression. Dark oval shaped eyes. Good dentition. Strong neck into well placed shoulders. Neat feet. Good body proportions. Well set tail. Unfortunately today his rear movement was not so steady.

1ST - Spellcast Hear Your Talk (ai) (Mrs L Durham) . There’s a lot of this handsome boy but he is of a good type.  He has a lovely wedge-shaped head and dark well placed oval eyes. Full black coat of correct texture. Good bone and neat feet. Has a tendency to drop his tail in stance. I’ve judged this young man before and he is now more confident on the table  Won this class on his sound movement.

 2ND - Amentino's Oki (Ms Al Skjæveland). Neat head with small triangular ears. Lovely dark eyes. Correct harsh coat. Well set tail carried over the back at all times. Looks good in stance but unfortunately his movement let him down today.

This was the toughest class of the day with two outstanding black dogs presented in immaculate condition and each handled to perfection. I judged these two as puppies and the decision on 1^st and 2nd place was as tough then as it was today.

1ST - Ch Izlou Shiver Me Timbers (Ms L & Miss I Barnes & King).. This boy has the most perfect wedge shaped head with dark oval eyes and neat triangular ears. Correct scissor bite. Strong short neck into well placed shoulders. Good angles both front and rear. Well rounded deep rib cage and strong short loin. Correct length of leg. Good bone and neat feet. Strong pasterns and straight hocks. Well-muscled throughout. Profuse, quality coat of correct texture. Excellent temperament. Moved effortlessly around the ring at one with his handler. CC & BOB. Short listed in the Group.

 2ND - Ch Longsdales Rebel Rouser at Cwrtafon JW (Mr G, Mr D & Mrs D Pearce, Francis & Roberts). Judged this boy before as a puppy and he was my BPIB. He certainly hasn’t disappointed as he has matured into a sound handsome dog. Quality all through with lovely head and expression. Good rib, strong loin, and well-set tail. Profuse, harsh black coat. In profile he is so well balanced. Just preferred movement of 1 today. RCC

1ST - Hocombewood Hot Toddy for Lindcoly (Miss A J Saich). Lovely to see this boy again who I have judged previously in the veteran class. Now 11.5 years old he can move around the ring as well as any of the youngsters. Lovely head with neat ears. Constantly alert to his handler he was certainly enjoying himself in the ring. BV.

1ST - Doroluna's Diamond Crown (Dr L Drew): Very pretty 8 month girl. Good muzzle to skull ratio.Well rounded ribs, very neat feet with strong pasterns. Lovely underline and straight topline with well set tail. Won this class on her excellent movement.

 2ND - Izlou Gossip Girl (Ms L & Miss I Barnes & King). 8 months old Cream girl . Very smart in stance but she appears a little unbalanced at the moment. Her head is still developing but she is very feminine with an attractive dark well shaped eye. Well handled. Movement a little erratic today.

1ST - Nosregor Cassiopeia at Shelayne (Ms M Fitton). Beautiful head and expression. Well placed shoulders and good angles front and rear. Not so steady on the move today.

 2ND - Moons Rocks Cross My Heart at Rozibon (Mrs J Monks). Smaller girl but everything in proportion. Good head shape, ears set a tad low. Coat just coming in.

1ST - Claran Blue Aurora (Ms K Andrew). Very eye catching sable girl.  Lovely head and expression and never stopped showing herself off. Good rounded rib but slightly long in loin.  Good front and rear angles. This young lady has personality plus and moved effortlessly at all times. She outmoved her litter sister for RCC.

1ST - Lindcoly Black Is Black (Mr C J & Mrs L M Saich). Very happy, attractive black girl. Outstanding temperament. Lovely head and expression. Slightly longer in body than ideal. Very distracted on the move as she is so over exuberant.

1ST - Claran Blue Galaxy (Ms K Andrew). Blue sable. Good head with well placed triangular ears. Lovely dark oval eyes which she never took off her handler. In stance she is simply superb as all her proportions are correct. She has well rounded ribs and a short loin. Excellent rear angulation. Lovely harsh coat that was immaculately presented. Considered her for the RCC but her litter sister out moved her.

1ST - Longsdale's Lift Me Up (Mr G & Mr D Pearce & Francis). Simply stunning sable girl. Very feminine. Excellent head proportions with well placed neat ears. Dark expressive eyes. Lovely dentition. Neck well set into correctly placed shoulders. In stance she is outstanding as she is so well balanced. Correct harsh coat. Her movement is unexaggerated retaining her level topline at all times.  She never stopped showing and thoroughly deserved the CC which I am informed gave her her crown. Congratulations.

2ND - Izlou Mustard Been Love (Ms L & Miss I Barnes & King). Very feminine Black girl. Good wedge shaped head with dark well set eyes and neat ears. Good bone and neat feet. Lovely in profile but unsettled on the move.

 3RD - Izlou Peanut Passion (Dr L Drew)

1ST - Ch Longsdale Miss Mussell (Mr G & Mr D Pearce & Francis). Top quality sable girl.  Correct head proportions   with good dentition, dark eyes and neat ears. Attentive at all times to her handler. Good rib and short strong loin. A little too much forechest for me but overall a well-balanced girl. She moves effortlessly around the ring retaining her level topline. 

2ND - Nosregor Unforgettable (Mr D T & Mrs P A Rogerson). Another quality girl. Not in her best jacket today but what she has is of the correct texture. Lovely wedge-shaped head. Good bone and neat feet. Well bodied. Just preferred leg length of 1. Sound mover.

1ST - Lindcoly Wishing On A Star (Miss A J Saich). 8 year old lady. Carrying a bit of extra weight today but it didn’t stop her trotting around the ring like a youngster. Straight front, good rib. Excellent temperament and well handled.
