German Spitz (Mittel)

Thank you to the society for inviting me to award my 1st set of CC's. In the rush to take photos before the group was called I didn't get chance to say thank you to my two fabulous stewards. Thank you to the exhibitors that entered under me today. I'm pleased to say that all dogs had clean coats, correct dentition and within the breed standard size.

PD (3)
These 3 puppies where all of different types and at various stages of development. All worthy of a class win, today it just came down to the finer points to be able to separate them. I will watch all 3 with interest.
1st) Barnes & Andrew's Claran Copper Nebula at Izlou - 9m sable who is on the smaller side, not too small I hasten to add. Wedge shaped head with an excellent shaped eye. Small triangular ears which are well set. Clean neck leading into well laid shoulder with good upper arm. Moderately angulated rear and developing nicely in body. Plenty of bone to match his size. Moved soundly when settled. Lost out of BPIB to his litter sister who is just more together at this stage.
2nd) Hall's Dacfolke Artic Alupine at Pufnstuf - 7m sable, different type to 1st. He is so full of mischief and really has to make his handler work. At the moment he doesn't quite have the head of 1st but is developing nicely and with maturity will no doubt catch up. Oval eye, excellent pigment. Ears of good shape and well set. Clean neck of moderate length leading onto moderately angulated front. Developing correctly throughout the body, short in loin. Moderate hindquarters to match. Level topline and well set tail. Presents a balanced outline. Moved soundly.
3rd) Taylor's Tispitza's Futterwacken.

JD (3)
1st) Rogerson's Nosregor In A Land of Myth - Well balanced rich brown. Wedge shaped head, oval eyes of good colour. Ears set high and correct clean dentition. Strong clean neck. Straight front, well boned with the best of feet. Well ribbed up with short loin but at this moment needs to body up. Well angulated rear. Level topline, high set well carried tail. Moved well. Promising youngster.
2nd) Hare's Tispitza Locked and Loaded - Black with a excellent head of correct shape. Small triangular ears well set. Oval eye. Moderate throughout, with a clean neck well angulated front and rear. When he pulls it together he shows off his balanced outline. With plenty of practice he is another promising youngster.
3rd) Lloyd's Tispitza Safe Cracker

YD (2)
1st) Taylor's Longsdale's Smooth Criminal von Tispitza - Black & white parti. Presents a well balanced outline. Looks a picture stood and doesn't disappoint with the hands on. Wedge shaped head, oval eye which are well set. Strong clean neck leading onto well laid shoulders, straight front and excellent feet. Moderate hind angulation. Clean straight movement front and rear, with excellent side gait.
2nd) Monks' Cwrtafon Ioan - Cream of top size but does go under the measure. Wedge head which is developing nicely. Good eye shape. Moderate neck leading into a well laid shoulder. Plenty of bone. Today he was carrying to much weight which affected his front and made him stand wide. I would prefer slightly more angulation behind with a touch more stifle. Moved soundly at just the right pace.

PGD (1)
1st) Skilling & Folkes' Spellcast Love Talks at Dacfolke (AI) - Black dog on the smaller end of the scale. He is not a dog that instantly catches your attention and you need to get your hands on him to fully appreciate him. Wedge head, small triangular ears which are well set and he uses to advantage. Oval eyes obliquely set. Clean neck leading onto moderate shoulders with good length to his upper arm giving the desired angulation. Well ribbed up and short loin. Moderately angulated hindquarters. Super sound, a honest dog and I was pleasantly surprised by him, to be critical I would just like a little more of him. Pushed for the RCC.

LD (1)
1st) Barnes & King's Izlou Shiver Me Timbers - A dog I've admired ringside since he was a puppy and I was pleased that he did not disappoint. Now 2 years old and maturing nicely, wedge shaped head, oval eyes that are obliquely set. Small triangular ears, set highly. Moderate length, strong neck leading onto well laid shoulder with corresponding upper arm, straight front with catlike feet. Excellent bone. Well ribbed up and short loin. Well angulated rear. Level topline, high set & well carried tail. In fantastic body and coat condition and well muscled. Straight front and rear movement with the best if side gaits, he came into the dog challenge and moved even better. So pleased to award him the CC (his 2nd) and BOB. His 3rd can't be far way.

OD (2)
1st) Rogerson, Rogerson & Mullholland's - Ch Fisherbloom Black Shamen with Nosregor – 5 year old sable. Wedge head, small well set triangular ears. Good eye shape. Strong neck leading onto well laid shoulders, straight front and catlike feet. Well ribbed up. Moderate rear angulation. Slightly out of coat today but this does show off his well balanced shape. High set tail. Plenty of bone. A very worthy champion moved so soundly to win the RCC
2nd) Hewett's Ch Spellcast Talk Tidee – light brown male with a heavy profuse coat. Good head with excellent eye shape. Triangular ears which are well set. Moderate neck, straight front. Well ribbed up. Today he was carrying too much weight which meant he rolled on the move. Well angulated rear. Moved ok but I would like to see him with less weight and more enthusiasm.

PB (5, 1abs)
1st) Andrew's Claran Blue Aurora - 1st and 2nd are both litter sisters with very little separating them. It's hard to believe that this sable is still a minor puppy because she shows like a seasoned pro. Feminine throughout, wedge head with a good eye shape. High set, small triangular ears which she uses to advantage. Moderate angulation throughout. Well ribbed up. Plenty of bone to match her size. Excellent coat. Moved so soundly which gave her the class over her sister today. A strong contender for the RCC. Pleased to award her BPIB and delighted to see her shortlisted in a strong puppy group.
2nd) Andrew's Claran Blue Galaxy - another exciting prospect from this clever breeder. Her head is developing nicely, excellent eye shape and set. Well laid shoulder with good return of upper arm. Well ribbed up and short loin. Moderately angulated rear. Level topline & high set, well carried tail. Not quite the rear action of 1 today but still moved well. A very exciting, promising litter.
3rd) Saich's Lindcoly I Want It All.

JB (4,1abs)
1st) Barnes & King's Izlou Mustard Been Love – Black bitch that really gave her handler a hard time today. She has the most beautiful, wedge shaped head with oval eyes. The best of ears used to her advantage. Well angulated throughout, developing nicely in body. Today she wanted to do everything at 100 miles per hour but she pulled it together long enough to show her sound movement which gave her this class.
2nd) Key's Tispitzas Mad Tea Party – A real baby who was 4th in the last class but showed much better in this one. A very promising youngster that with some experience should do well. Balanced outline and well made throughout. Feminine head, correct eye. Ears of good shape and well set when she used them. Moved so much better n the class to show off her straight movement front and rear and good side gait.
3rd) Saich's Lindcoly Black is Black

YB(1)
1st Hall's Pufstuf Kiss Da Paw – Feminine bitch which impresses with her balanced outline. Wedge head, oval eye and triangular well set ears. Good length of neck which was strong, leading onto the best of shoulders. Well ribbed up and good length of loin. Well angulated rear. She is in 1st class condition with superb muscle tone. Gleaming black coat of good texture and well turned out. So sound and true fore and aft with excellent side gate. Stood in the challenge demanding to be noticed. Pleased to award her the RBCC.

PGB (1)
1st – Barnes & King's Izlou Let Me Be Your Fantasy – Small bitch who left her coat at home today. Sadly she has been frightened by a previous bad experience but coped well. Good head, well angulated throughout. Well balanced giving a square outline. Level topline and high set tail. Moved soundly when settled, handled empathetically.

LB (2, 1abs)
1st – Hall's Spellcast Let's Ava Talk at Pufnstuf – Cream bitch who is turned out well and in fantastic muscle tone as all from this owner today. Slightly stretched in proportions but that doesn't detract from the overall picture. Feminine, wedge head with oval eyes and the most beautiful expression. Moderately angulated throughout and plenty of bone to match her size. Moved so soundly.

OB (2)
1st) Taylor's Ch Clarmers Mischief Managed Under Tispitza JW – A bitch I have judged and done well for in the past. Now with maturity she is even better. Feminine wedge head, the best of eyes which are obliquely set. Triangular ears that are well set. Good length of neck leading onto well laid shoulders with excellent return of upper arm. Well ribbed up and short loin. Moderately angulated hindquarters and well muscled. Moved straight and true front and rear with excellent side gate. Coming back into coat which is of good texture. Pleased to award her the BCC, her 6th.

2nd) Rogerson's Nosregor Unforgettable – Cream bitch who present a beautifully balanced outline. Not quite the head of 1. Good ears which she used to her advantage. Oval eye which are well set. Well made front, well ribbed up and short loin. Well angulated rear. Plenty of bone and good feet. Well muscled. Moved straight and true infront but is a touch close behind. Another I considered for the RCC today.
