German Spitz (Mittel)

Puppy Dog 5/0
It was a delight to see such depth of quality in both puppy dog and puppy bitch classes. I was genuinely spoilt for choice in both.
469 – 1st - Miss L Rodgerson - Tispitza's Damned By Rumour With Noregor - Cream puppy dog with fabulous pigment and an excellent coat for his age. Although not quite my type on paper, I could not deny his balance and overall correctness, with everything in the right place. He has good bone, tidy feet and excellent rear angulation, giving him a pleasing square outline. Alert with a keen expression, he presented a fabulous picture both standing and on the move, holding his topline well. Moved with confidence and ease for one so young. He really shone in the dog challenge and ultimately secured the Reserve Dog CC. I look forward to seeing how he matures.
447 2nd– Miss A Clarke - Shelayne Riotous Revely - A different type to first, this well-built, masculine sable is up to size but not over. He has an excellent front assembly, one of the best fronts in the class, with correct shoulder placement and good forechest. Tidy feet, good bone and a strong, masculine head with a confident expression. No mistaking he's male.
Junior Dog 5/0
Another strong class, full of quality youngsters. Although juniors can be in an awkward stage, the quality here still shone through.
460 1st-Mrs J King – Grizwold Paper Moon - Cream male with brown pigment with the most glorious outline. A super type with a lovely straight front, correct shoulder placement and good return of upper arm. Excellent bone, tight feet and a flowing side gait, with sound movement from behind. Unfortunately, he tended to lift in front as he looked up at his handler, which ultimately cost him the Reserve CC.
455 – 2nd - Mrs J Huntley - Ciasman Ala Droppaa Mun Tunnelmaa (Imp Fin) - Sweet black male, slightly smaller than first but still within the standard. He has the most beautiful eye and a pleasing expression. Good feet and correct shoulder placement. Like the winner, he tended to lift his front on the move. Sound rear action and clearly very attentive to his handler.
Post Graduate Dog 2/0
488 –1st -Miss A Drechsler - Black dog very much my type. Loved his head and expression, with fabulous ears which he used well. Good bone and coat coming through which will only improve with maturity. He has plenty of drive and power from behind with a strong rear. Tended to stand slightly long in the body, which cost him further consideration in the challenge.
461 – 2nd - Mrs Lewis- Grizwold Priate's Tale At Louchelle - lovely black dog with white toes. He kept crabbing on the move and was quite unsettled today, however a sweet boy with a lovely expression, good front and bone. Needs more confidence and focus to show himself to better advantage.
Limit Dog 4/1
449 – 1st - Dr L Drew- Stunning dark brown dog, unmistakably male. Rich pigment contrasts beautifully with his coat, complemented by dark eyes of correct shape. Correct size, well-set ears, excellent type and good bone. Coming back into coat. Fabulous side gait with good drive and balance, and strong hindquarters. He tended to be a little lazy in front on the stand which distracted from his quality in the challenge.
467 – 2nd - Miss L Rodgerson - Cadasaro Georgie With Nosregor (IKC) - Handsome cream dog with good pigment and correct size. Good bone and excellent hindquarters. An honest dog who moved well in profile, though he was a little close behind on the up and down.
Open Dog 4/0
446 – 1st - Mr, Mrs, Miss & Miss Chapman - Ch Kitsune Notorious (AI) - Super masculine sable dog of outstanding type. Excellent bone and beautifully presented. He has the neatest of feet and creates a superb picture on the free stand, holding his topline effortlessly on the move. He uses his ears well and has a keen, intelligent expression. Fabulous rear construction and tight tail set. What a beautiful dog!
Could not be denied the Dog CC and Best of Breed.
476 – 2nd - Mr & Mrs Saich- Lindcoly Simba - Sable dog of a different type to first. Beautifully square and smaller framed but still well within the standard. Lovely expression and ear placement. If being very critical, I would prefer a slightly darker eye. Clean mover with a correct front and good bone. Certainly one to watch.
Veteran Dog 1/0
462 – 1st - Miss & Mr Lowe & Rosebury - Nixtev Xander - 10yr old white male with plenty of substance. Beautiful small ears and good eye shape. Correct bone. Mouth showing age-related wear, understandable at ten. A delight to judge with a sweet, endearing expression.
Special Beginners Dog 1/0
453 – 1st - Mrs Griffiths - Cadasaro Hans -Delightful black and white dog with a lovely head and good bone. A little unsettled but clearly very attentive to his handler. Good rear construction and when settled, moved with purpose and drive.
Puppy Bitch 5/0
Again, a lovely class with several promising youngsters.
454 – 1st - Lady & Mr Hickson - Sable puppy bitch with good substance and excellent bone. Tidy feet, lovely eye shape and excellent hindquarters. Coat coming through nicely. Only six months old and still raw, but full of promise.
472 – 2nd Miss Saich - Lincoly Hips Don't Lie - Cream puppy bitch, very pretty and feminine. A little distracted and erratic today, but I loved her well-knit body and classic Spitz expression. I hope she grows a little more as I would like a little more size, but she has plenty to admire. So incredibly pretty!!
Junior Bitch 2/0
Two super juniors with lots of potential.
464 – 1st - Mr O'Leary - Cadasaro Hanna - Very pretty sable bitch with an eye-catching, melting expression. Coming back into coat. Good bone for her size and excellent hindquarters, contributing to her powerful, positive movement. Square in outline and moved with drive and enthusiasm. I would like just a little more of her overall, being ultra-critical. A well-deserved Reserve CC, and one I expect to see with her title in the future.
456 – 2nd - Mrs Huntley - Grizwold Pabi Coch At Puidelup - Brown bitch of good bone and very much my type. Beautiful head and expression. Just needs more confidence, but she is well put together and moved out very well. I would love to see her again when she settles more in the ring.
Post Graduate Bitch 2/0
468 – 1st - Miss L Rodgerson - Nosregor Dear Diary - Rich brown bitch, very pretty with an excellent front and lovely eye shape. Square in outline and almost regal in her presence, with a confident attitude I admired. Moved out with drive and purpose. I would like a little more of her, but she remains well within the standard.
474 – 2nd - Miss Saich - Lindcoly Trust In Me - Blue sable bitch, full of character. Very feminine and well-balanced with everything in the right place. Square, tidy front and rear, and when settled, moved beautifully. Unfortunately out-moved by the winner on the day.
Limit Bitch 2/0
457 – 1st Hutchings - Brooks, Brooks, Hutchings & Hutchings - Jansanleis The Magic Piper With Jenerelen - Stunning cream bitch with super pigment and good bone. Glamorous and always standing foursquare, clearly showing her excellent construction. I have judged her previously and awarded her top honours. Today she insisted on looking up at her handler, which affected her front movement.
451 – 2nd - Ms Fitton - Nosregor Cassiopeia At Shelayne - Beautiful sable bitch with good bone and a pleasing square outline. Moved out with enthusiasm and sparkle. Extremely out of coat today, which made her appear less balanced against the fully coated bitch. She has all the attributes needed for her title and I believe she will achieve it when in full bloom.
Open Bitch 3/0
477 – 1st - Miss T Taylor - Tispitza's Avada Kedavra - Exactly my type. This beautiful black bitch oozed everything I love in the breed. Truly balanced with a well-knit body, good muscle tone, fabulous eyes and correct ear placement. Excellent front and rear construction with a lovely turn of stifle. Shown in full coat and moved with drive and purpose. Could not deny her the Bitch CC, and I understand this was her third and crowning CC — congratulations to her owner.
463 – 2nd - Mrs, Miss and Miss Moir , Moir & McKenzie - Beautiful cream bitch who moved with style and presence. Slightly lazy in front on the free stand, but this did not detract from her overall quality. If being very critical, I would prefer a slightly smaller ear. A delightful bitch, beautifully handled to show her to best advantage. A very worthy Champion.
Veteran Bitch 1/0
479 – 1st - Miss Williams - Ch Dulais Moonlight Over Paris At Trebettyn JW - Super feminine sable bitch who continues to impress in veteran. Beautifully square with good rear construction, coming back into coat and immaculately presented. Still shows her confident, slightly arrogant personality, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Used her ears well throughout.
Best Veteran in Breed.
